Expats: Paris - A comedy web series about expat life in Paris.

Expats search for friendship, success, love and pickles in this off-beat exposé on the everyday life adventures as a foreigner living in Paris.

Series Overview

Shot on location, Expats: Paris chronicles a group of unlikely friends as they zig zag through the difficulties that await foreigners living in the City of Light. From long distance relationships to driving a manual shift car. From learning the proper way to cut French cheeses to resisting sexual temptation. From performing stand up comedy in another language to converting the French population to pickle consumption.

Visiting Paris is easy. Staying in Paris is hard.

Expats: Paris focuses on seven core characters:

• Harris (American): A project manager who reluctantly came to Paris to open a new branch for a Chicago-based company. His stay is prolonged indefinitely just as he hopes to get back home.

• Vlad (Romanian): Moved to Paris as an anesthesiologist but gave it up to focus on his true passion: pickling. His hope is to conquer the French food habits with his pickles.

• Clémence (Franco-American): A mysterious yoga instructor and bio-militant, she’s Harris’ tempting neighbor who’s convinced of his “positive energy” and wants to “align his chakra”.

• Jean-Roger aka JR (French): A public transportation employee who considers himself American at heart since he spent a month in high school in the US...

• Stéphanie (French): JR’s twin sister, an ambitious fashion designer who likes Harris.

• Magnus (Swedish): A chef and occasional bartender, Magnus came to Paris in search of food, fun and sex, not necessarily in that order.

• Becky (American): Harris’ longtime fiancée who seeks to maintain her control from afar.

The first 10-episode season follows each of the core characters on the path of their personal challenges in interwoven story arcs (accepting life in Paris for Harris, struggle for recognition for Vlad, finding a companion for Magnus,

and becoming an American for Jean-Roger. It also places them in specific situations triggered by a different understanding of the everyday realities of Parisian life. Living in a Parisian

apartment building is

never easy, but what happens when one of your neighbors leaves a pair of underwear in your mailbox? All arts have their place in Paris, but strange things

happen when a performance artist gets inspiration from a jar of pickles.

Pitching a new type of food to French buyers can be tricky if you don’t appreciate the infamous andouillette. The hardships and hidden advantages of the gastro infection constitute a true French initiation ritual for a newbie.

And lastly, festive moments such as Fireman’s Ball and Bastille Day are the perfect backdrop for dreams to either dissipate or soar as couples reevaluate their feelings and reform.
