components: !
What is Hip Replacement Surgery?
Hip Replacement FailureHip replacement failure can occur when there is a design flaw or when the device is improperly implanted.!
What are the symptoms of Hip Replacement Failure?!
Mary’s symptoms included:!
Groin pain! Thigh pain!
Irritation and/or pain walking!
Inability to bear weight!
Limp! Chronic ache!
And metallosis . . .!
Metallosis occurs from a buildup of metallic debris. It can be caused by the metallic implants rubbing together, a defective device or improper
implant placement.!
After receiving her first implant, Mary’s metal-on-metal implant
caused her extreme pain, swelling, bone deterioration and metal
toxicity.!
Back to NormalAfter receiving a second new hip,
Mary’s life was almost back to normal.!
She enjoyed walking and gardening with little discomfort.!
But the question remains, what could she do about the suffering and pain caused by the metal-on-metal hip implant she received?!
