Cyclonic EngineThe 27-hp 5-Step Cyclonic engine was made for zero turn mowing. In five separate stages, it channels large pieces of grass blades and other debris away from the engine. Debris is either spun away immediately or chopped up and blown out, thanks to a fan and an ejector chute. When you’re processing this much grass, you need protection against dust and debris.

When it came to designing the EZtrak Series, our engi-neers scrutinized even the smallest detail with extra consideration. Take, for example, something simple like the non-slip surface on our footrests. Or putting a protective cap over the key switch to keep out moisture and debris. They even repositioned the engine and transmission to support best-in-class weight distribution, better traction and better overall mowing performance.

It’s this attention to detail that has led to features on the EZtrak Series that you won’t find on any other zero-turn mower. Like a tracking adjustment tool that doubles as the height of cut pin. A flip-up foot platform so you can easily clean debris out from the top of the deck, as well as being able to service the belt. Offset caster wheels that allow you to trim closer to the edge. Offset Caster Wheel A John Deere exclusive, the offset front caster wheel helps improve inside corner trim performance and also helps reduce between-blade striping.

The Z600s use heavy-duty pumps and wheel motor drives for extra durability and longer life.

Cyclonic Filter SystemA large cyclonic air cleaner fi lter in our 5-Step Integrated Cyclonic Air Management System removes any remaining particles in the engine housing, keeping debris at bay. Exclusive clean-out ports allow for easy access to built-up clippings.

Smooth SeatTake away the bumps with this new 21 in. padded suspension seat. It features adjustable arm rests, making it comfort-able for operators of all sizes.

With a ground speed of 8.5 mph and large 22-inch rear tires, the Z400 Series hit the grass running and never look back. After all, no other zero-turn mower in its class is going to gain on them. Especially with a 27-hp** 5-Stage Cyclonic engine and Hydro-Gear ZT2800 integrated pump and wheel motor transmissions. These transmissions feature internal brakes with cogs on each wheel motor, so turning and braking become even more precise.

You’ll also be sitting comfortably on the 17-inch seat with seat suspension. It’s got thick cushioning and adjustable armrests, so even after you stop mowing, you still may want to sit and linger a few more seconds.

As productive as our Z200 Series and Z425 mowers are, they’re also fun to operate. Like any EZtrak, they feature adjustable motion control levers that can easily fit any operator. The standard shock absorbers let you smoothly operate the machine. And an easy-to-use tracking adjust-ment keeps you mowing in a straight line.

Your feet are positioned on a sturdy steel footrest which flips up for easy access to the mower deck. The fuel tank is made of a translucent material, so you always know how much fuel is left in the tank. And all of your controls are conveniently located on the left side for easy access.

The Z225 and the Z245 feature a dual Hydro-Gear transmission with a solid one-inch axle shaft for smooth performance and durability. And we’ve repositioned the engine for improved weight distribution and better balance.

We named it “EZtrak” for a reason.
