※ The university reserves the right to determine the reasonable number of students to be admitted on the basis of admissions authorities judgements, applicants' academic abilities, achievements, and their potential as per documents submitted(admission solely based on documents).

1. Common Qualifications 1) Basic Qualifications

※ Both international students with non-Korean parents and parents themselves must have obtained current non-Korean citizenship at least 2 years prior to the application.

2) Applicants must meet one of the three Language Abilities below(except for GLOBA applicants ) ① Attained level 4 or higher in the Test of Proficiency in Korean(TOPIK) (※if applicants who are expected to attain TOPIK do

not submit it before D-7 of entrance day, admission and enrollment will be canceled.) ② Completed level 5 or higher in Korean Language from the Korean Language Training Center located in one of Korean Universities. ※ Students with Taiwanese citizenship who have one Korean parent and one non-Korean parent regarded as a student with non-Korean parents.

※ In accordance with "Korea’s Nationality Act" Article 11. 2(The Legal Status of People with Dual Nationality), people with dual citizenship are regarded as Korean citizens since January 1, 2011. Therefore, people with dual citizenship are not allowed to apply for international admissions.

※ Students admitted through international admissions process must acquire level 4 or higher in the Test of Proficiency in Korean(TOPIK) before graduation. Global Korean Scholarship(GKS) student and students who get scholarship from applicants's government can be determined by each department office.

※ Those not posted in the handbook are handled by the decision of Student Admissions Committee of Inha University for International student Transfer Special Admission Fall 2017.

2. Documents for visa

■ Required Documents for International Students to change/extend visa ☞ Despite the following documents have already been submitted during document submission period, they need to be submitted again.

For students whose visa will be expired before Aug 2 - Aug. 4, 2017 (the period of Tuition Fee Payment):

- D-4 visa holders can change their visa status to D-2 only after paying tuition fee, despite they get certificate of admission from Inha University. (※ Other visa holders except D-4 are also able to extend their visa after paying tuition fee.)

-Therefore, students whose visas expire before the tuition fee payment period (Aug 2 - Aug. 4, 2017) should either extend their language school studies until the end of August, or return to their home countries to apply for D-2 visa. Students whose visa is expired before the tuition payment period should consult with Inha University International Center(☎ 032-860-7038).

- For the students who will return to their own country due to expiration of visa, please inform the International Center so that the visa application can be possible.

• Although your visa does not expire soon, you must apply for Visa after tuition fee payment period with the documents above.

• Inha University International Center will provide one-stop service for operations to process visa during July and August, 2017. Please attend visa presentation for international student.

• Students not residing in Incheon Metropolitan City should go to their Local Immigration Office for visa individually.

• Applicants have to change visa status and school information before beginning of the semester. Otherwise, you will be charged a fine.

• Students who changed their residence should report about their temporary place of residence before changing or applying for the visa.

• Students who have other types of visa except D-2 must change their visa to D-2. Students who have F type (i.e., F-1, F-2, F-3, F-4, F-5) or C-3 visas must contact Inha University International Center ☎ 032-860-7037(8)

② You can be given the remaining amount(revenue and expenditure about application fee are reflected) until October 31th after the settlement in proportion to application fee.

③ You can choose two ways in order to get refund on the application fee: requesting account transfer at the time of online application or visiting the Global Education office.

④ If you want to get refund by way of account transfer, you should consider the possibility of having additional expenses because of using a bank’s computer network. Therefore, you will be given refund of the application fee only after additional expenses are deducted, but you will not when they are more than the refund amount.

⑤ You should fill in the Tuition Refund Request Form attached to the prospectus and submit it before the Admissions Administration Committee decides whether you are given refund or not.

For those who admitted by the International Student Special Admission, the Admissions Administration Committee will decide whether an applicant is eligible to get a scholarship and the amount on the basis of Inha University’s Global Scholarship regulations. While in school, applicants will be getting a scholarship according to the grades of the previous semester.

Ⅸ. Instructions

☞ If parents and applicant are not foreign born, “Certificate of loss of Nationality of South Korea“ must be submitted. (In this case, Applicant and both parents must have obtained current non-Korean citizenship at least 2 years prior to this application)

☞ Inha University will allow conditional admission for international students who have not yet taken the Test of Proficiency in Korean(TOPIK). Those students must submit TOPIK level 4 before D-7 of entrance day. If a student fails to meet the TOPIK requirement then admission will be revoked.

☞ Students admitted through international admissions process must acquire level 4 or higher in the Test of Proficiency in Korean(TOPIK) before graduation. (Global Korea Scholarship(GKS) students and students who get scholarship from applicants's government can be determined by each department office)

☞ In accordance with the Apostille Agreement(2007.07.14), students who completed highschool or university education abroad must submit graduation certificate and transcript along with Apostille certificate issued by the designated organization. Students from countries including China which have not signed the Apostille Agreement must submit their documents certified by the Korean Consulate.

☞ Students must submit all their application documents in order according to their application status.

☞ Since the prospectus will not be sent to individual applicants in detail, applicants are advised to have a good understanding of the prospectus. The university does not take responsibility for any inconvenience caused to applicants as a result of their failure to understand the prospectus.(In case of chinese students personal information both in Household Register and personal statement should be the same)

☞ Documents in languages other than English must have a notarized Korean translation attached to them with the certificate of translator.

☞ Inha University can not assume responsibility for the return of any documents you provide in support of your application for admission.

☞ The university is entitled to request that students submit additional documents for applicant review.

☞ Admission record and evaluation are not disclosed.

☞ If names on documents submitted vary, additional certificates that can verify your personal information from court must be submitted.

☞ Applicants must check admission confirmation on Inha University Admissions Homepage (www.admission.inha.ac.kr) on the date of the Announcement of admitted applicants. Students will not receive individual notice.

☞ If applicants do not register during the designated period, their admission will be cancelled.

☞ Admitted students will select their majors following the university's policies and regulations.

☞ Students who completed primary and secondary education in Korea can submit their official school record instead of transcripts and certificates of enrollment.

☞ According to Tuberculosis Check Obligation in Revision of Guidance on Visa Issuance and Stay for Foreign Students (announced by Korea Immigration Service on July 1, 2016), foreign students have to take a Tuberculosis Check in a hospital and submit a medical certificate. The nations concerned are as follows:

China, Sri Lanka, Russia, Uzbekistan, Thailand, Vietnam, India, Nepal, Indonesia, Pakistan, Mongolia, Bangladesh, Philippines, Myanmar, Cambodia, Malaysia, East Timor and Kyrgyzstan (a total of 18 nations)

☞ If applicant’s submitted fake documents are disclosed, the enrollments will be cancelled. The tuition and admission fees will not be refunded.

☞ Applicants who have submitted a provisory certificate of graduation from an overseas University(College) must submit a certificate of graduation to the Global Education office no later than August 25, 2017.

☞ The requirements (some not detailed on the prospectus) will be managed in accordance with the school's policies, regulations, and in consideration with the regulations of the “Admissions Committee for International Students.”

☞ The prospectus posted on Inha University Admissions Homepage is the latest prospectus. Students are advised to review the prospectus carefully before filling out an application to avoid any inconvenience.

※ Keep in mind that the online application process is time-consuming to get processed. All applicants filling out online application form are required to make sacrifice at times to get submission done in time.

After completing your online application, you must revisit the Application Process Agency and print out an application form. The application process is only complete when the applicant submits the entire application packet(including a photo and an attached Application form) to the Global Education Office (in person or via mail).
