PARKS & LEISURE SERVICES

4

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year in Temple. As the

cooler weather arrives, Parks and Leisure Services has some great

upcoming programs and events to help you enjoy the outdoors

and stay active.

It is a perfect time to take in a round of golf at Sammons Golf

Links, stroll through the parks and trails, take a spooky hayride

with your little goblins, participate in the Turkey Trot and get in

the holiday spirit by welcoming Santa to town with a magical

Christmas Parade.

You will fi nd all the happenings around Temple Parks in this

issue of the Play by Play. Be sure to connect with us at

www.TempleParks.com and like us on Facebook for the most

up to date information during this busy holiday season.

With the hustle and bustle of the season, try to dedicate some

time this Fall and take advantage of the fun events and programs

off ered by Temple Parks and Leisure Services and enjoy

making new memories in your hometown.

I will see you outside,

Kevin Beavers

Due to the large number of parks in Temple, it is difficult to keep each park in top condition at all times. We are very thankful for all the help from our wonderful community members and organizations that help us maintain and enhance our parks!

Adopt a Park groups help inform parks staff of issues or wants for their park and also organize park work days: cleaning up, planting plants and trees, and other projects to maintain or enhance their park.
