Spring has sprung at Temple Parks and Recreation.

Wildflowers, wildlife and warm weather - it is the perfect

time of year to be outdoors and watch as mother nature

comes alive.

Temple Parks and Recreation is in full swing this spring, so

mark your calendars for some great upcoming events you will

be sure to love. Hit the trails and challenge your friends to the

Temple Trail Blazers Walking Challenge, enjoy a relaxing night

out as the free Movies in the Park series kicks off, or go back

in time at the 7th Annual Battle of Temple Junction. Ready to

dive into summer? Get those swimsuits ready as Lions Junction

Waterpark and all local swimming pools gear up for a splashing

good time this May.

It is a very exciting time for us at Temple Parks & Recreation and

I want to thank our great citizens, wonderful volunteers and all

the visitors that enjoy and support the parks and trails. We hope

to continue to bring beautiful parks, updated facilities and state

of the art amenities to each of you and for future generations

Due to the large number of parks in Temple, it is diffi cult to keep each park in top condition at all times. We are very thankful for all the help from our wonderful community members and organizations that help us maintain and enhance our parks!
