Skyward Family Access Frequently Asked Questions

Page 17: FAMILY ACCESS PRESENTATION

Q. I can't get Family Access to work on my computer; what should I do?A. Family Access is a web-based product, so it should work on your computer like any other web-based application, such as Internet Explorer. First, you should check to make sure you have the right Family Access web site address or URL. You can access the Family Access web portal from the direct URL at www.cdaschools.org.

Q. Can other people see my child's personal information on Family Access?A. Family Access is password protected. As long as you keep your password safe it is highly unlikely that anyone else will be able to access or view your child's personal information.

Q. Does my child have access to the same information? A. Every grade 4-12 Coeur d'Alene School District student has a log on password and access to the student portion of

Skyward Grade book. They are encouraged to look at their grades and assignments on a regular basis. They do not need to use your parent access to do so. Many students use the school computers in the Library to look up their personal grade information. Students who have lost or forgotten their log on and password should see the school’s front office secretary or registrar.

Q. What if we don’t have a computer at home? A computer is available for your use at each of the Kootenai County Libraries and is free of charge.
