Norland Nursery is a new nursery which opened in Bath last summer. The nursery cares for and educates 53 children aged from four months to five years. Norland Nursery offers a unique experience for children, with free flow play throughout the nursery – inside and outdoors. All the equipment is of the very highest quality and traditional wooden toys are used wherever possible. Each room focuses on a different area including discovery, technology, reflection, and creative / imaginative - there is even an indoor beach! The nursery’s philosophy is underpinned by that of the founder of Norland College, Emily Ward. As such, the nursery is child centred where parents and families are encouraged to share in their children’s care and learning to develop a true partnership. The nursery has a family structure with a key person responsible for the care of children in mixed age groups.
