Thereare Whitlocks buried at Toronto Cemetery, Woodson Co., KS (I.A. and family--old stone on east side). MaybeWilbur's family already had relatives in KS, in Woodson Co.?? [G'ma says (7/98) that the Simpsons (Wib's wife'sfamily) came from IL, but she doesn't know about the Whitlocks!?]

After working as County Surveyor in Wabaunsee Co., Wib built houses with partner in Kansas City. Moved fromKansas City to farm in Miami Co., KS (near Lane, KS), then to Pomona, KS (Osage Co., KS), and finally WilsonCo. (Cecil and Helen Whitlock Davis property, near Neodesha, KS). Family (Wib and Hulda) lived at Lane whenGrandma Helen (Davis) was born, but Lane was very remote and wife Huldah returned to parents at Maple Hill, KS.She stayed at Grandma Sharrai's at McFarland, KS, near Maple Hill, where Grandma Helen was born (GrandmaSharrai was a widow, and Huldy's parents still had young children at home). Beth and Bob were also born duringperiod at Lane, KS. Joan was born near Neodesha, KS, at family home in Wilson Co., KS.
