The fashion stakes are higher at this year’s Townsville

Cup – with the Fashions on the Field competition

revamped and vamped up thanks to the Townsville

Fashion Festival and the Ville Resort- Casino

The three fashion forward judges are not looking for

classic race wear but you still have to be all class,

they’re not looking for traditional styles but you still

need to be a style leader and they’re not relying on

the old rules but you still must rule the runway.

The Fashions on the Field competition will handpick

seven fashionistas across six categories to be

awarded an incredible prize pool – however only

one entrant is set to be crowned the overall winner

to be the face of racing fashion in Townsville.

T H E F A S H I O N R U L E S

1. Turning heads isn’t about turning up the hemline

so please keep it just above the knee to save

yourself an awkward turn on the runway.

2. It’s not a flesh fest so best leave it to our

imagination when it comes to revealing

cleavage via plunging necklines or cut outs.

3. Give your outfit a nod to winter but not a full

on embrace because this is the tropics – feel

free to leave the stockings at home, gloves

are optional and shoulders can be bare.

4. Be styled from head to toe with accessories

that compliment your killer outfit.

5. Be your beautiful, fashionable self and standout on

the catwalk because this competition is about having

fun and showing off your own unique personal style.

R E G I S T R A T I O N

Registrations commence at 11.00am

and will close at 12.30pm sharp!

Registration is $10 per category and must be paid

to the cashier in the judging precinct located in The

Ville Hotel & Casino Fashionable Fillies Marquee

behind the Members Stand. The Fashion Precinct will

be located behind the Members bar on the lawns.

Entrants will be given a numbered card for the

preliminary judging which will take place in the

same area and commence at 12.45pm.

Winners will be announced and presented

at approximately 2.45pm.
