REFUNDS: Office fees are not refundable after closing date. Stall fee and class entries will be refunded if horse is withdrawn with a vet certificate or rider with a medical certificate before the 1st day of the show.
ADD/SCRATCH POLICY: If you scratch a class at the show you will be charged for the class. You may scratch one class and add another at the same time and only be charged for the added classes.
AWARDS: Ribbons 1st thru 6th place, Gift with Championship.
CONES CLASSES: Competitors will be given 1/2 hour to walk the course. Courses will be posted online at ‘ Canterburyshowplace.com. DRESSAGE CLASSES: All driven dressage will be in the 40 X 80 M Arena. Ridden tests will be in 20 X 60 M Arena. Please indicate on your entry form which Level and Test Number you will drive.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Stall bedding will not be provided. Canterbury required a minimum of 2 bags of shavings per stall
(excluding tack stalls). You may bring your own or purchase it at the show grounds. No haul-in bulk
shavings are allowed. If you use something besides shavings, ie straw or pelleted bedding, there s a
$30 clean out fee per stall. Permanent stabling with 12 X 12 wood stalls with full sides and back, sliding
door and front with bars on top.
2. Early arrivals are $25 per day per stall if arriving prior to noon on Thursday February 7,2019 or staying
beyond midnight on Sunday , February10. Early arrivals must be arranged with the show manager.
3. Camper Hookups are available and can be reserved on your entry form. 30 and 50 amp are available
with water and electric, no sewer.
4. Dogs must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet, held by a person or tied AT ALL TIMES. This rule
applies to ALL dogs.
5. All minors must be under the control and supervision of a parent or guardian who will be responsible
for all injuries, damages, accidents and disruptions caused by the minor. Serious and/or continuous
incidents will result in expulsion from the Showgrounds. No refunds will be made.
6. Championship Classes will not be stripped.
7. This Show will be conducted in the spirit of the USEF Rules.
8. A protest must be in writing, signed ad accompanied by deposit off $100 (payable to Canterbury
Showplace). A member of the Show Committee, the Show Chair, or the Show Secretary must receive the
protest within 48 hours of the occurrence of the alleged violation. If the protests is upheld, the deposit
shall be returned. If not upheld, the deposit shall be forfeited to the Jubilee of Breeds Show. In case
the protest is upheld, entries standing next in award will move up accordingly..
9. The gate of the show ring will be closed two minutes after the first horse enters the ring. Any exhibitor
not in th ring by that time will not be admitted. No refunds of stall or entry fees.
10. If for any reason a judge cannot officiate, the Committee reserves the right to substitute.
11. The age of a Junior Exhibitor on December 1 of the preceding year will be maintained throughout the
entire following year.

12. The Jubilee of Breeds Horse Show, Canterbury Showplace and any of the officials, staff and management
will not be responsible for any accident which may occur to any rider, driver, groom or attendant, animal
or equipment at the sow or for any loss or destruction of any property or damage to or by animals in
exhibition at the show, grounds, or stabling area.
13. All horses shown at this show in classes designated as Morgan classes must be registered with the
American Morgan Horse Association and must be entered under their full registered name.
14. All horses shown at this show in Classes designated as ASB classes must be registered with the Ameri-
can Saddlebred Horse Association, Inc., must be entered under their full registered name ad ASHA mem-
bership numbers must be provided for ASHA points to count.
15. The gate of the show ring will be closed two (2) minutes after the first horse enters the ring. Any exhibi-
tor not in the ring by that time will not be admitted. No refunds of stall or entry fees.
16. The Horse Show Committee reserves the right to cancel any class where there are less than four (*4) en-
tries and to combine or divide any class or classes, should the best interest of the show require it. In
case of cancellation, entry fees will be refunded.
17. The Jubilee of Breeds and Canterbury Showplace reserves the right to:
a) Vary or add to the names of those officials who have been invited to participate.
b) Decline/return any/all entries, return any monies paid for stalls/entry fees, before or during the
show, without explanation or recourse to the show for liability or compensation.
18. Exhibitors are hereby notified that any act of discourtesy or disobedience to the judge, horse show staff,
volunteers or officials on the part of the owner, rider, trainer, agent or groom, will disqualify horse and/
or rider and the owner shall forfeit their entry and other stall fees.

CLASS SPECIFICATIONS
1. Junior Exhibitors may show in any amateur class ONLY when there is no class within the division specifi-
cally for them. Junior Exhibitors that do not have a Championship in their division may show back in
the Amateur Championship after having shown in the Junior Exhibitor qualifying class.
2. Exhibitors showing in Walk/Trot classes may NEVER have been judged in a canter class in any show and
may not show in any canter class at this show. A driving class is not considered to be a canter class.
3. To qualify for Saddle Seat Equitation Championship, a rider must have competed in any Equitation
qualifier. This division is open to any breed of horse.
4. A Classic horse is not restricted to Classic Classes only, but in Classic Classes, must adhere to USEF
rules.
5. To qualify for a Championship, a horse/rider must have shown and been judged in a qualifying class for
that Championship..
6. Novice horse means a horse that has not won three blue ribbons WITHIN THAT DIVISION AT ANY
SHOW. Novice rider means a rider that has not won three blue ribbons IN ANY DIVISION AT ANY SHOW.
7. OPEN Classes are open to both amateurs and professionals.

12th ANNUAL HORSEMANSHIP CHALLENGE

The UPHA CH 17 Horsemanship Challenge is designed to promote Sad-
dle Seat riding and sportsmanship in a competition atmosphere for
riders in the southeast. The format of this event was chosen to show-
case the rider’s ability. The competition is open to all advanced non-
professional riders ages 13 and up. Past champions are not allowed to
compete but may be asked to guest judge.
Suitable lesson type horses will be used. Riders will compete on the
horses they bring for the first round. Second round everyone will draw
a horse they have not previously ridden and competes. A brief, super-
vised 5 minute warmup is allowed. The horses may be any breed and
compete in show or work bridles. Rider will wear helmet, jodphers,
boots and UPHA Challenge shirt (provided)
This is consider a “Special Event” thereofore, academy riders are eligi-
ble if they are advanced riders capable of handline various horses.
