FED2.0 Bringing People to the Powe
THE PREMIERE WEB 2.0 EVENT OF 2009 FOR GOVERNMENT
EMPLOYEES, APPLICATION AND SERVICE PROVIDERS,
CONTRACTORS AND SUPPLIERS
At Fed 2.0, the must-attend government web business conference for 2009, you'll have
the chance to network with hundreds of professionals facing the same challenges you
face, and to hear from speakers from government agencies and the private sector on th
latest in Fed 2.0 technologies, applications, and real world solutions currently in use
inside major government agencies. Significant discounts will be available to governmen
employees.
WHY PARTICIPATE IN THE FED 2.0 CONFERENCE?In his Presidential announcement speech, February 10, 2007, President Obama clearly
stated his commitment to bring the federal government into the 21st century, saying, "
us be the generation that reshapes our economy to compete in the digital age." There i
no doubt that Web 2.0 technologies will play a pivotal role in achieving this objective. B
Fed 2.0 won't be reached with a Facebook page and a Twitter account. Fed 2.0
applications and services require security, scalability, integration with existing systems,
sophisticated archiving and retrieval, and, most importantly, a dramatic rethinking of
how communications is done both inside and outside the four walls of every
government agency.
The people who will be leading this effort will be at the Fed 2.0 Conference, a three-da
event, April 29th through May 1st in Washington, D.C., featuring keynotes, breakoutsessions, workshops and networking opportunities for government employees, develop
ers, suppliers, communications professionals and systems integrators. The conference
agenda will feature leading experts, case studies and hands-on education in collaboratio
social networking, rich media and other Web 2.0 solutions to streamline the business of
government, make it more responsive to constituents, and reduce costs.
AGENDA
The conference starts Wednesday, April 29 and winds up the afternoon of Friday, May
1st. Wednesday evening there will be a welcoming reception for all conference admissio
holders, exhibitors, speakers and the media (online and offline). Thursday and Friday w
both feature a comprehensive line-up of keynotes, general sessions and breakout sessiodesigned to meet the needs of all conference participants. In addition to the opening
night mixer, several sponsored dining and entertainment activities will be made availab
to participants. There will also be informal activities such as a Fed 2.0 Tweetup.
