A. Self Install Instructions - Modem 844G

Open the box and ensure that you have receivedall of the necessary parts.

Fantastic, you have opted to install your Moby Internet modem. I know that this may seem a little intimidating, but trust me, this will be a piece of cake!

Let’s get started.

Warning –Please, please, please be extremely careful with the Fibre Optic Cable. It’s made of a tiny thread of glass and will break if you are mean to it!

Do not pinch, kink or fold your Fibre Optic Cable.

Do not force the Fibre Optic Cable into the port/outlet, it will clip into the outlet only one way

Do not touch the end of the Fibre Optic Cable with your fingers or set it onto a dirty surface. Once you have removed the dust caps and cleaned the end of the fibre optic cable, place it somewhere clean and safe until you get to the install step!

Plug in the Power Supply into the Moby Modem.

Locate your smart panel with mini nodeor fibre port (or existing modem if applicable).

4 Remove the dust cover from the back, lower right hand corner of your Moby Modem (slide the cover out and remove

the black plug from the outlet).

5 Unplug the Fibre Optic Cable from the mini node (please refer to picture of mini node) located in your home’s smart

panel.

Plug the Fibre Optic Cable into your Moby Modem (if you have touched the tip of the Fibre Optic Cable in any way or it set

down, please carefully wipe the tip of the Fibre Optic Cable with the Moby-provided Fibre Wipe before plugging it into your

Moby Modem).

Slide the dustcover back onto the face of your Moby Modem (careful not to pinch the Fibre Optic Cable).

NOTE: OK, this one may have been a little tricky. If you figured it out, then BOOM, you’re all good! If not, no worries! Give our support line

NOTE: If you have a smart TV, gaming system, computer or other devices that you would like wired directly into the modem, please connect it with the

supplied data patch cable (connect from your device to one of the 4 yellow network ports on the back of your Moby Modem).

Here’s where it gets exciting… wait for the Broadband and Service lights to become green (this may take up to 15 min).

OK, you see the lights? Piece of cake, right?Now for the last step. Follow Section B, WIFI Instructions, to

connect your wireless devices.

Plug the Modem Power Supply into the nearest electrical outlet. You are so close to being setup!

Congratulations! You have completed your Moby Internet Modem Self Install! Now you’re ready to proceed to step 1 of your Moby WIFI

Setup Instructions.

Look for the info card that was provided with your Moby Internet Self Install package. �e information on this card (Network Name

“SSID”, Network Password) will match the label information on your modem.

Go to your WIFI enabled device (smart phone, computer, gaming console etc.) Go to your WIFI settings. Locate your SSID # in the

list. Once you see it, select it. Once prompted, enter your Network Password. KABOOM! POW!!! Just like that, you’re riding the

information super highway!
