+Lessonopoly

Lessonopoly is an online tool that allows you to share lesson plans with fellow teachers, and receive some good lesson plans yourself.

As a teacher, student, or parent you can create an account that will allow you to manage what you like from the website and what you are not interested in.

There is a personal calendar that is under the link “My planner”, and it allows you to keep track of your classroom activities for the days of the month online.

If you click “Browse” lesson plans, it will give you an option of subject area and grade level.

The search brings up useful lesson plans that have been used recently by teachers.

If you yourself have a great lesson plan and want to allow others to use it, you can click submit and follow the easy steps to show off your great idea.

The website URL is : lessonopoly.org .

+Reflection of Lessonopoly

I really liked the idea of this website, as a tutor for elementary kids, it was helpful in trying to create lesson plans we can do at the after school site.

I believe this site is extremely helpful in connecting teachers and keeping their ideas fresh and new year around.

+A Student's Guide to Surviving College Finals

The website link is : http://collegelife.about.com/od/academiclife/a/A-Students-Guide-To-Surviving-College-Finals.htm.

This is an online blog from collegelife.about.com, and it was created to help college students to succeed towards the end of the semester.

This guide to surviving finals has four sections to help cope.

The first section is,” Preparing for and Managing the Stress of College Finals”. This section is designed to help you get ready for the scary thought of your college finals. IT has four attached links that are there for access about how to release stress and conserve energy while studying.

The second section is “Finding Help with Final Papers”. This particular section is there to ease the stress of the dreaded long papers that you write instead of taking a final exam. There are also four links under this section that help with lengthening your paper and citing.

The third section is “Finding Help with Final Exams”. This section was basically created to calm your brain before finals an give you a few study tips.

The final section is “Dealing with the Aftermath -- Both Good and Bad”. This section of the site is determined to help college students deal with the grades they received after all of the hard work; whether they are celebrating or weeping.

+Reflection of A Student's Guide to Surviving College Finals

I thought this website was really helpful, especially considering what time of year it is for all of us college students.

I actually found help with my final paper from this website due to the citation help it provides.

I would recommend this website to any college student that has a lot on their plate at the end of the semester or just really needs some helpful tips on how to survive finals week.

+ERIC

ERIC is the “world’s largest digital library of education literature.”

This technology device allows anyone to enter any “keyword” into the database and it brings up a search list with any article, report, legal document, journal, or book that has to do with your keyword.

The website link is:http://www.eric.ed.gov/ .

+ERIC

The database also allows anyone to create a login so that they can save the work they used from ERIC.

ERIC also has a handy Thesaurus that is easy to use too. The thesaurus can be used to create many searches of the same topic.

The website also tells all users how many records have been added in the last month, which is interesting to know. This last month 4062 records have been added!

+ERIC Reflection

I think this is a very helpful use of technology. ERIC has just about anything and everything someone could desire for a research assignment.

I recently use ERIC when doing research on a paper about Charter schools, almost all of my 15 sources came from ERIC.

This digital library is so easy to use and very helpful when looking for research on specific topics.

+Conclusion

Overall, I believe all of the technology research we did throughout the semester was very helpful. Finding new websites and data bases I can use in my future was extremely insightful.

All three of these website are doing some help with people in some ways and I think that it a very good indicator of how much technology is really becoming the necessity to keep up in the world.
