November has just begun, but so much is already happening at First Baptist. The “God’s Not Dead” Campaign is in full swing. So many in our community have been called and prayed for in the past few weeks. We still have a few more weeks to go before the Connections Day Service on November 16. (See page one for details) Keep praying for God to use this campaign to touch hearts in our community with the good news of Jesus Christ. Make sure you attend on the 16th. That day we will have one service at 9:00am and we will show the movie, “God’s Not Dead”. If you have seen the movie, you will want to see it again - especially in the environment of church worship. If you have not seen the movie, it is worth your time and attention. Not only is the movie worth seeing, but we are expecting many guests that Sunday. Be there with a big smile and warm greetings as we share God’s love and show that Jesus is alive. It is also in this month that we consider and vote on the proposed budget for 2015. You will receive a letter from me that explains the details of the budget presentation. The Budget Committee has worked hard to balance the ministry of our church and the boundaries of nancial responsibility. The proposed amount is $2,448,968.47 and represents a 3% increase over the present budget. Please consider your response and bring your commitment cards for dedication on November 23. Remember that our motive for giving is a grateful heart (2 Cor. 9:7). Also, remember the shoe boxes. The “Operation Christmas Child” program of Samaritan’s Purse touches so many young lives with a Christmas gift. Get your shoe boxes and start lling them up. It is amazing how God uses these shoe boxes to change lives. Susan and I enjoyed our vacation. Thanks to Brent Shaw, Joe Savage and Lonnie Byrd for lling the pulpit. We were so blessed in seeing the fall foliage and visiting with our family. Coming back has been such a blessing. The Perky Pumpkin Party was such a success. Kevin and all his helpers did such an excellent job. If you missed the Sunday evening service, you missed God’s love expressed as the four and ve year olds quoted Psalm 23. Thank you Jennifer for the work you are doing with our preschool. Have a good two weeks. Remember we are God’s masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10) and we demonstrate that God’s not dead in the lives we live. He is alive and so many need to hear the message and see the aliveness of His believers. May God bless each of you, Your Pastor, Jerry Romans 10:9-10

Each holiday season, First Baptist anticipates and relies on a seasonal increase in contributions. It is through the donations of every individual and family in the congregation that we are able to carry on our work now and throughout the year.

If you need a convenient way to make recurring contributions or plan to make an additional gift before the end of the year, we encourage you to check out our electronic giving options. As the pace of life speeds up around the holidays, you may nd electronic giving a most welcome way to make contributions.

To set up a recurring giving schedule, visit us online at fbcfairhope.org and locate the Online Giving button. You may also accomplish this through the Church App. Or if it’s easier, complete a paper authorization form and return it to the church o ce.

Thank you for your generosity and support!

Demonstrate your thankfulness this season

Do You know the Key Verses? Here are the key verses in the Campaign to know how to lead someone to Christ. See how you are doing with memorizing them:

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.Romans 6:23For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.Romans 5:8But God demonstrated his own love for us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.Ephesians 2:8-9For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works so that no one may boast.Romans 10:9-10...that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

Perky Pumpkin 2014 was the best ever and it’s all due to you! This year we exceeded our Candy goal like never before. I am always amazed at the faithfulness of our church family. Thanks so much to all who served in a million di erent ways. Thanks to all who donated a cake or brought a TON of candy or picked up paper or handed out bibles to visitors. I could go on and on and on… I know a thank you wasn’t your motivation in giving or serving, and I also know we could never repay each of you for all you do to make the wheels of FBC turn, so I’m asking God to richly bless you and all who visited us last Friday night for PPP. I know people experienced Jesus last weekend. I witnessed it. Thanks to each of you for making that happen. I’m honored to be your Children’s Minister.

On the Journey,Kevin
