The National Pledge is recited in a loud voice in unison bystanding straight and stretching right hand forward.

Many Indian schools include national pledge as a part of dailymorning assemblies and essentially also included in theobservance ceremonies for Independence Day and RepublicDay.

The National Emblem of India is a replica of the Lion of Sarnath, near Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.
