lways own incidents.

Always ask, "How does this decision impact our families?"Example - Teachers might understand Google Classroom, butwhat about your parents? How can the District help them? Areparents told how much digital work to expect each day?

Does someone own incidents that occur on the school'snetwork? Does a policy exist so that incidents are handledconsistently? Do parents know the process? Each of thesequestions should have a clearly communicated answer.

FDoes curriculum encourage students to explore what'sPOSSIBLE with technology instead of a list of do's and don'ts?Is the school helping students become empathetic, thoughtful, and critical digital thinkers? The Every School EdTech Triangleshould be considered by every district.

und digital citizenship.

EIs there a plan for keeping families current on digital trends inthe absence of in-person gatherings? Consider PYE's freeweekly webinars. Or the Protect app.

RDoes the District's website tell parents how to manage devicesat home, filter out the junk, and have great conversations?Just point them to protectyoungeyes.com. We'll take care of it.

wn the Chromebook!

The router is the most important digital device in the home!Maybe it's time for a Gryphon (PYE recommendation). Theright router minimizes or eliminates many digital disasters.

Whether it's school-issued or yours, it's time to "own" how theChromebook works. Do you understand Family Link, admin.rights, and guest access? The PYE Chromebook parentalcontrols guide explains each of these steps.

MBedrooms + Boredom + Darkness + WiFi = trouble for manyyoung people (and adults). Families should be hyperaware ofthese risks and manage them. PYE can help.

EDo you have a plan for keeping kids more focused while doingmore virtual school work? The Team at Better Screen Time hascreated an amazing guide to help students stay on task.

BACK TO SCHOOL 2020 -2021

We believe that districts and familiesthat do the things shown on the previous

pages will have kids who have a saferand more productive digital experience

during the 2020-2021 school year.

If you want help with any of these steps, please contact us at:

COVID-19 robbed us of our ability to speak withstudents, parents, and teachers about technology in

large groups.

So, we built THE PROTECT APP.

This unique tool uses bite-sized, micro lessons to break down complex issues. It will help families become

predator-proof, porn-resilient, and screen wise.

Schools can be heroic by purchasing access to the appfor all of their families.
