Philosophy Corinda State High School provides learning pathways that allow students to pursue courses of study, which support both their academic and physical performance goals. Our commitment to this philosophy has led to the implementation of the Football Program of Excellence to support the growing popularity of football in the Corinda community.

The Football Program of Excellence has been designed to provide players with the opportunity to further develop their football skills whilst completing essential Health and Physical Education course work.

The Football Program of Excellence aims to:

• Provide students (with identified football talent) an opportunity to develop their game skills and expose them to facets of football. Students will engage in fitness conditioning and nutrition for performance, to skill acquisition and learning strategies.

Pathways The Senior School Football Program of Excellence is an elective subject that may be studied by Year 10, 11 and 12 students who have displayed an aptitude and commitment to improve their football skills. During year 10, Football students will participate in a Leaders of Evolution sports leadership program. This program is specifically designed to support young sports men and women to navigate hurdles they may encounter as elite athletes. In senior years, Football students will participate in a two year Football Program designed specifically to enhance knowledge and skills for elite football performance. This course is aligned with the Sport and Recreation Pathways and will contribute to an ATAR.
