Targeted model updates, new layouts, modern technology
More comfort, expanded equipment, improved technology: all seven caravan se-
ries will profit from intensive detail work in the 2018 season. In addition to con-
sistent model updates in terms of exterior design, equipment, space design and
technology, Hobby is providing new attractive layouts.
A total of 56 model variants from seven different design lines will ensure unique
variety and options for the 2018 season. Hobby offers the right solution for almost
every taste and every important caravanning target group.
The entry-level series ONTOUR has been completely redesigned. But all other
series will also provide surprises with optical, practical and technical innovations.
There have been changes to the furniture decor and the upholstery colours and
in the structural area. Thus numerous Fe layouts have been mirrored so the
French beds are now on the right and the service hatches of the toilet cassettes
are on the left side of the caravan. So disposal from the cassette is no longer
made through the awning.
New side wall stickers, logos and scripts emphasise the modern external appear-
ance of the 2018 caravan generation. The newly designed side walls with the
finely integrated windows form a harmonious whole with the attractive front sec-
tion of the caravan, where everything seems to have been cast in one piece.
This also fits to the new, chromed rear of the series DE LUXE EDITION,
EXCELLENT and PRESTIGE. Placed directly over the registration number, the
entire rear section now looks even more upmarket.

Above the new fridge panels in the metallic tone “Fashion Grey” set the tone in
all modells. Through targeted model update measures the kitchens in the
EXCELLENT and PRESTIGE have been upgraded
and brought into line with the luxury class series PREMIUM. The wide work sur-
faces with chrome strips on the kitchens, cabinets and sideboards ensure a par-
ticularly upmarket look. The rear kitchen wall forms a harmonious and homely
whole with the integrated blind and insect screen. The integrated USB and 230-V
plug sockets and the small shelves are very practical.
ONTOUR — compact, comfortable, affordable The entry-level series ONTOUR has been completely revised for the 2018 sea-
son. The exterior design now bears the unmistakeable signature of the other
Hobby model ranges. But the ONTOUR remains true to its proven line as a com-
pact and agile travel caravan. None of the four models is wider than 2.20 metres!
That makes the Ontour the ideal companion for all caravaners who place a par-
ticularly strong emphasis on high mobility. Regardless of whether couples travel-
ling together or families with children are concerned. The Ontour 390 SF is the
smallest caravan in the entire Hobby range. With a side seating group in the rear,
a compact sanitary room and a comfortable kitchen it offers all the conveniences
that couples who enjoy travelling want. And a car from the compact class is suffi-
cient as a towing vehicle. Anyone who prefers single beds will find two alterna-
tives in the models 460 DL and 470 UL, optionally with a rear dinette or round
seating group. Consistently tailored for families is the Ontour 470 KMF with a
children’s section and transverse bunk bed in the rear.
One common highlight of all four O models is the new one-piece extra-wide body door, which had already become a component of the other Hobby model
series last season.

Bright tones dominate the interior. The white surfaces and subtle grey elements
of the new furniture decor “Cocobolo/Piquet Grey” provide a soothing contrast
that makes all the entire interior fittings appear extremely welcoming. The new
series upholstery “Taiga” is precisely coordinated with it.
Overall, the furniture of the entry-level ONTOUR has been optimised and has
now been brought into line with that of the higher-level series DE LUXE. Of
course, all four of the new ONTOUR models score with the HOBBYKOMPLETT full equipment as standard. So you’ll be ready-for-the-road from the off with eve-
rything factory-fitted. Furthermore, there are numerous comfort-enhancing
equipment components available for the ONTOUR, such as electronic underfloor
heating, the exclusive Blaupunkt sound system and the new TRUMA gas heating
VarioHeat “Comfort” as an option.
Like all other caravans from the brand, the ONTOUR can use innovative Hobby
Cl-BUS-technology, which can control almost all the devices and functions of the
on-board network via the optional TFT operating panel, also including the new
gas heating VarioHeat “Comfort”.
Conclusion: with the new ONTOUR variants, which include the three designs for
couples and with the 470 KMF also a pure family caravan, Hobby is offering four
compact, affordable and comfortably equipped travel caravans.

DE LUXE - family friendly down to the last detail
The DE LUXE also raises no doubts that it is an ideal companion for families in the
2018 season. Almost half of all the layouts of this series are tailored for this target
group, because five of the twelve model variants bear the letter K, which stands for
children’s beds at Hobby, in their type designation.
ln the family-friendly DE-LUXE MODELS segment the 2018 season is celebrating
a very unusual innovation premiere: the new DE LUXE 515 UHK is offering not
only a generously-sized children’s section with a bunk bed in the bow of the cara-
van, but also a lifting bed for two people above the rear round seating group. Any-
one converting all the seating groups of the DE LUXE 515 UHK will get an incredi-
ble eight berths - and that with a vehicle width of just 2.30 metres!
Alongside layouts with children’s beds the DE LUXE series offers all common
variants with single and double beds. In this segment these range from the com-
pact DE LUXE400 SFe with a French bed up to the 540 UL with single beds.
Optically too, the DE LUXE for the 2018 season makes a big splash, primarily with
the new furniture decor “Olmo Pavarotti/Beige” combined with the upholstery
“Patch”, which give the interior a real feel-good atmosphere. Bright beige tones
and warm wood colours ensure harmony and cosiness here.
Due the factory-fitted full equipment HobbyKomplett the DE LUXE meets all the
main wishes concerning comfort. Thus ten of the twelve DE-LUXE-MODELS in
total are equipped with the 150-litre Super-Slim-Tower fridge. In this respect too
the DE LUXE proves to be particularly family friendly.
Caravan Innovations 2018
5
DE LUXE EDITION — sporty and dynamic The sporty team from the Hobby programme starts with eight representatives in
the 2018 season - from compact couples’ vehicle 440 SF with seating groups as
standard and double bed up to the large family friend 650 KMFe with its own top-
equipped children’s room, all sport friends are represented in the DE LUXE
EDITION series.
Chic, modern, dynamic - this is how the DE LUXE EDITION is also presenting
itself in the 2018 season. Its concise and contrasting furniture decor “Hamilton
Maple bright/anthracite” and the finely coordinated upholstery combination “Avus”
with the striking red piping enthrallingly interact with each other with light and dark
components. Its youthful lines thus follow the DE LUXE EDITION series into the
new season too.
EXCELLENT - beautiful and versatile With 13 layouts in total, the EXCELLENT is the series with the most layout varia-
tions. Three models (495 WFB, 540 WLU and 560 WFU) alone are waiting with a
huge rear washroom, in which the toilet/washroom and shower are separated from
each other. Another two new layouts have now joined these luxurious designs: the
EXCELLENT 460 SFf primarily stands out with its generously-sized bow bedroom,
whose showpiece is the wide Queen-sized bed. Like all Queen-sized beds from
the Hobby range, it has been provided with the new bed put-up hinge. Its gas-
operated dampers make it easier to set up the bed frame and mattress and thus
also access the huge bed stowage space.
Another highlight of the new EXCELLENT 460 SFf is the gas heating installed as standard, VarioHeat from TRUMA, which can be conveniently regulated with the
optional TFT operating panel. With the 560 LU an extra new long bed layout com-
pletes the EXCELLENT range. This is in the rear in this caravan instead of in the
bow, as has been usual up to now.
Caravan Innovations 2018
6
The EXCELLENT also shows itself to be really attractive inside. The glossy white
magnolia fronts of the furniture hatches create a holiday feeling and a good mood
as soon as you enter the caravan. The new chrome strips with the integrated han-
dles on the wall units perfectly match the softly rounded cabinet hatches, and the
contrasting warm wood tone “Ashai/Ash” complements the bright magnolia surfac-
es.
The kitchen area has been upgraded and now additionally scores with a wide work
surface border, a rear wall with storage compartments, integrated roller blind and a
USB plug socket to charge mobile terminals. The new fridge cover in the colour
“Fashion Grey” is a real eyecatcher.
PRESTIGE — high quality and cosy Anyone deciding on a Hobby PRESTIGE knows exactly what they want - a
comfortable, perfectly equipped caravan embodying value and reliability. And this
proven classic from the Hobby programme has precisely these timeless virtues
and is going into the 2018 season with eleven models.
Couples will enjoy the generous space distribution of the new 560 LU with
long beds in the rear and a cosy round seating group in the bow. Three designs -
all with double axles - are tailored for families, which includes the new model 720 KWFU. At a total length of nine metres and a width of two and a half metres, this
generously-sized family apartment offers everything parents and children could
wish for on holiday - their own room with a bunk bed for the youngsters, a wide
French bed for the adults and a roomy living and dining area with a comfortable
kitchen and cosy round seating group for the whole family.
Caravan Innovations 2018
7
Added to which is a downright luxurious sanitary area, distinguished by a separate
shower divided from the washroom and toilet. The separating walls in the shower
are in the new decor “Aqua”, which is being used in all Hobby models (apart from
the LANDHAUS) from the 2018 season. The easy-care material will win friends not
only with its modern look, but also with its practical characteristics.
As in the EXCELLENT, the entire kitchen area in the PRESTIGE has been up-
graded with a wide work surface, a rear wall with storage compartments, an inte-
grated roller blind and a USB plug socket, and it has thus been brought up to the
same standard as the luxury series PREMIUM. The new fridge cover in the colour
“Fashion Grey” appears distinctive and upmarket at the same time.
All eleven PRESTIGE MODELS in total are equipped with the 150-litre Super-Slim-Tower fridge. In the new upholstery “Java” a new material combination has
found its way into the PRESTIGE. A cosy microfibre has replaced last season’s
artificial leather border.
PREMIUM - chic and luxurious The luxury class is driving into the 2018 season with six variants. Alongside the
large family caravan 650 UKFe, the PREMIUM layout range is primarily aimed at
comfort-conscious couples who can choose between space concepts with single
and double beds. But the PREMIUM is not luxurious and generously-sized only in
the bedroom, but also in the living and sanitary areas. Thus the rear washroom in
the PREMIUM 660 WFU takes up the entire width of the caravan and will spoil its
owners with a shower cabin separated from the washroom and toilet.
Caravan Innovations 2018
8
The 560 CFe shines in the living area with its unique couch seating group. For the
2018 season this caravan is also benefiting from a structural improvement. As in
many other Fe layouts from the entire Hobby range, its bedroom has also been
mirrored. As a result the French bed is now on the right-hand side with the en-
trance door and the toilet cassette service hatch is now on the left-hand side. The
main advantage of this solution is that the cassette no longer has to be disposed
of through the awning.
The exclusive equipment and facilities of the PREMIUM will also be upgraded by
subtle model updates and additional details. These include, for example, the new
fridge cover in the metallic colour “Fashion Grey”. The extensive standard equip-
ment includes high quality components such as the single column lifting table, the
TFT operating panel and the chic alloy wheels.
LANDHAUS - stylish, unique, unmistakeable The one-off from the Hobby programme is starting with the proven layouts 770 CL
and 770 CFf. They differ in the design of their bedrooms. A wide Queen-sized bed
is installed in the 770 CFf, two comfortable single beds in the 770 CL.
The extremely generously-sized space distribution with a huge couch seating
group, comfortable kitchenette and separate shower cabin make both Landhaus
models first class holiday apartments — particularly for longer holidays and per-
manent camping.
The full HobbyKomplett equipment as standard includes a 50-litre drinking water
tank in both LANDHAUS variants. And for the new season both LANDHAUS mod-
els have also been equipped with the 150-litre Super-Slim-Tower fridge for the first
time.

Anniversary models “50 Years of Hobby” This trio has a lot to offer. All three anniversary models from the popular
EXCELLENT programme score with high quality anniversary packages. Really no
one has to sacrifice maximum mobile comfort and innovative technology in the
three anniversary models 540 UL, 560 CFe and 560 KMFe. This begins with the
chassis, which is loaded factory-fitted and is provided with the stabilisation sys-tem KNOTT ETS Plus. The caravan can also be moved effortlessly onto any
campsite when coupled because the driver assistance system Easy-Driver is
also on board. All three anniversary models are also completely independent of
any campsite infrastructure due to the 12-voIt self-sufficiency package includ-ing charge regulator with booster, battery and battery sensor. There are chic “boots” too thanks to alloy wheels in silver, perfectly matching the
50-years of Hobby exterior design.
Top technology also distinguishes the inside of the anniversary trio. Based on the
Cl-BUS on board management system designed by Hobby, the devices and on-
board technology are controlled using the TFT operating panel. Even remote
control by smartphone or tablet is possible using the HobbyConnect app.
A USB double plug socket to charge mobile devices is included in the
anniversary package, as well as all the TV equipment consisting of all brackets, connections, an LED flat-screen TV, tuner/receiver and DVD player. A high-
performance satellite system from Kathrein ensures good reception when
travelling. And anyone who get too hot when underway in front of their own door
can simply extend the wide OMNlSTOR roof awning to provide protection from
the sun.

Don’t be worried about cold days - efficient new heating It’s already standard equipment on the new EXCELLENT 460 SFf, in all other
Hobby models up to the Type 495 the new gas heating TRUMA VarioHeat “Comfort” is available as an option. An investment that brings numerous benefits.
Predominant among these are that the VarioHeat in the caravan can be conven-
iently controlled using the TFT operating panel and online with the HobbyConnect
app because the digital heating is not only completely ClBUS capable and can
thus be perfectly integrated into the Hobby on-board network, it can also be ad-
justed remotely via the internet. The additional local controls - for example, from
the bed - with the TRUMA operating panel “CP Plus” also work effortlessly with the
VarioHeat “Comfort".
The extremely compact gas heating weighing just 5.1 kg can be installed saving
space in the caravan. It has three heating levels, with outputs of 1300 W, 2800 W
and at its peak (level 3) 3700 W. The heating output is regulated automatically
according to the temperature set. The high air flow and optimised fan of the Vario-
Heat “Comfort” make it possible to heat up the caravan very quickly.
Hobby caravans are regularly tested under controlled climatic conditions in air
conditioned or refrigerated chambers, in order to obtain reproducible results such
as insulation values and cold thermal bridges. Thermal imaging cameras and
temperature sensors give additional insights here. In this way it was possible to
confirm improved insulation values after the window supplier was changed two
years ago and also the new extra-wide entrance door only shows a slight loss of
heat now due to considerably improved insulation values.
Caravan Innovations 2018

The maximum Delta T-value, which gives the temperature difference between the
outside and inside temperature, is up to 50° C at Hobby, depending on the model.
At an external temperature of minus 30° C, an inside temperature of 20° C can be
reached within four hours and kept constant. The standard Delta-T value, which
has to be reached in the same time, is 35° C. Thus Hobby is also a leader in heat-
ing output.
Heating comfortably just like at home - ALDE makes it possible ALDE hot water heating 3020 HE has already been successfully offered as an
option for all Hobby caravans from the Type 490 for many years. It has a total
output of 8500 Watt. An 8.4-litre boiler is integrated in the heating from the outset
so hot water is generated as a side product, as it were. Both functions - heating
and hot water generation - can also be provided independently of each other,
however.
The proven ALDE hot water heating can be topped by the hot water underfloor heating available as an extra for the models 720 UKFe, 720 KWFU, 660 WFC,
650 KMFe, 650 KFU and 620 CL. It additionally heats up the caravan floor using a
system of pipes through which hot water flows. Combined with heat exchanger
plates the warmth is distributed throughout the entire floor of the vehicle. The addi-
tion of high quality anti-freeze prevents the heating pipes from freezing at external
temperatures as low as minus 40° C. ALDE hot water heating and the new hot
water underfloor heating are controlled using the TFT operating panel. Of course,
the components can also be controlled remotely via the HobbyConnect app by
smartphone or tablet.

Good entertainment - mellow sound and clear reception Caravaners who enjoy good music and modern media will love the Blaupunkt
sound system “Frankfurt 370 DAB BT”, which is available as an option from the
2018 season. Regardless of whether the radio’s on or another source of music,
such as via a USB connection, CD or AUX-in cable is accessed - the sound is
always fantastic. No wonder, because the system includes four 50-Watt boxes, a
subwoofer and a 4-channel amplifier. There’s also a hands-free facility for
smartphones thanks to a Bluetooth connection.
And the new roof antenna from Bad Blankenburg GmbH, which Hobby is using
from the 2018 season, also makes a considerable contribution to improving radio,
TV and GPS reception and mobile phone communications.

Wider variety, new design, upgraded equipment packages The range of motorhomes from Hobby will be even more varied for the 2018 season. It includes a total of 33 different models spread across two semi-integrated model ranges including the two “50 years of Hobby” anniversary models, family-friendly alcoves and compact vans.
Semi-integrated vehicles: With the OPTIMA DE LUXE and OPTIMA PREMIUM,
there are now two separate semi-integrated model ranges with a total of 24 different
models. 13 of these belong to the OPTIMA DE LUXE range, and 11 to the OPTIMA
PREMIUM range. Customers have a huge choice between very different layouts and
interior concepts. All the major bedroom styles are on offer – whether they have
single beds, a double bed or a luxurious queen-size bed. The range of berths is also
complemented by five semi-integrated vehicles featuring a drop-down bed.
Hobby is also offering variety where the design of the sanitary facilities and kitchens
is concerned. There’s a wide choice of individual solutions – from the compact and
space-saving wet room used on vehicles in the six-metre class for example, through
to the huge rear washroom with separate shower cubicle, such as the one featured
on the seven-and-a-half-metre long T75 HF. In the majority of cases, the larger mo-
dels have corner kitchens, while the more compact models have kitchenettes. When
it comes to the kitchen amenities and equipment, both styles have high-quality finis-
hes.
Alcoves: The family-friendly alcoves in the SIESTA DE LUXE model range will kick
off the new season with three models. As before, with the A65 GM, there’s a vehicle
that features bunk beds in the rear and a large side seating area on the left-hand
side. The space inside the slightly longer A70 GM is largely divided up in the same
way – with the difference that a double bed is installed above the garage in the rear.
Completely new to the SIESTA trio is the A60 GF. With significantly more compact
dimensions, even this model features a rear double bed. The one thing they all share
Mobile Home Innovations 2018
2
in common is the comfortable double bed in the alcove, the completely redesigned
washroom and the modern kitchenette.
Vans: The VANTANA will be available for the 2018 season with a powerful quartet
characterised by four attractive layouts. Two models, the K60 Fs and K60 FT, are
content with a vehicle length of around six metres, whilst the two larger representati-
ves of the van model range, the K65 Es and K65 FT, come in at around 6.40 metres
in length. Thanks to their minimal exterior width of around just two metres, all four
models are ideal for city breaks and driving along narrow access roads, such as on
the way to hidden surfing spots or remote mountain biking trails. However, people
who love the outdoors and travel in the VANTANA don’t have to forego mobile com-
fort and a clever division of space.
Aside from the three layouts with a double bed positioned sideways in the rear, with
the K65 Es there’s also a model with single beds. All four models feature a variable
seating area with four places in the front area. Two of these are created by turning
around the cockpit seats. However, there are differences between the VANTANA
models when it comes to the sanitary facilities. Depending on the model, two
washroom solutions come into play here.
“HOBBYKOMPLETT” ALL-INCLUSIVE package When it comes to equipment packages and comfort – as usual – Hobby isn’t making
any compromises. Quite the opposite. For the 2018 season, the
“HOBBYKOMPLETT” ALL-INCLUSIVE package launched last year for the OPTIMA
DE LUXE, OPTIMA PREMIUM and SIESTA DE LUXE model ranges will be tweaked
and enhanced with improvements to the finer details. From the factory, Hobby
customers will receive a vehicle that’s ready to hit the road – investing in expensive
extras isn’t necessary; there aren’t any additional “compulsory packages”.
Mobile Home Innovations 2018
3
Hobby is introducing new exterior and interior design features across all model ran-
ges. These modifications are most noticeable on the SIESTA DE LUXE, which has a
completely new look. It’s a real eye-catcher!
For the company’s 50th anniversary, Hobby is also releasing two completely exclusi-
ve anniversary models in the style of the OPTIMA PREMIUM model range. These
are the V65 GE layout featuring a sleeping area with single beds, and the T70 F
layout featuring a double bed and luxury washroom. All of their equipment and their
stylish exterior and interior design even top the “HOBBYKOMPLETT” ALL-
INCLUSIVE package!
The new OPTIMA – two perfectly equipped design lines Aside from the new furniture finishes and upholstery combinations, the two semi-
integrated model ranges benefit from numerous improvements in detailing – both the
OPTIMA DE LUXE and the OPTIMA PREMIUM alike.
In the kitchens, the most striking improvement has been made to the cabinetry. This
is reflected in the form of a wide worktop edge with integrated chrome beading. The
window coverings in the kitchen feature a fully integrated combi-cassette with an
insect screen and pleated blackout blinds, and they are also furnished with chrome
beading. For the coming season, the kitchen wall units will also have concealed LED
lighting. Another visual highlight is the new cover panel for the refrigerator in the
colour “Fashion Grey”.
The upholstered panels at the head of the new beds are equipped with shelves and
light switches. The single beds in the GE models are getting a new, sturdy bed ex-
tension and the new bed lifts have been fitted with powerful gas springs. The new,
split curtains are a small but fine detail, as they make it considerably easier to access
the windows.
Mobile Home Innovations 2018
4
The new shower cubicle illuminated from above in the OPTIMA models with a rear
washroom, such as the T70 E, T70 F and T70 HF, is not only chic, but also extremely
practical.
The new seatbelt anchor system with optional Isofix upgrade, the optimised pull-out
shelf for gas bottles and the new ladder system with improved steps are making the
vehicles safer and more user-friendly. The equipment for subsequently installing air
conditioning and solar power systems is also optionally available for the vehicles.
OPTIMA DE LUXE The design of the vehicle’s exterior alone offers a lot of personalisation options. The
following three colour combinations are available:
1. Front end in white plus black or slate grey graphics colour
2. Front end in black plus black graphics colour
3. Front end in slate grey plus slate grey graphics colour
The flat rear end of the OPTIMA DE LUXE has an immaculate white design and
perfectly matches all three colour combinations.
The new “Ashai Ash/Lana Grey” furniture finish gives the OPTIMA DE LUXE an ext-
remely bright and friendly appearance. This is matched with the new standard upho-
lstery style “Mali”.
OPTIMA PREMIUM The OPTIMA PREMIUM has the same options as the OPTIMA DE LUXE when it
comes to the exterior design. What makes it unique is the beautifully designed rear
section. No ifs or buts: a beautiful rear can also endear. Depending on the colour
selected for the front end, the rear of the OPTIMA PREMIUM has decorations in
black or slate grey.
Mobile Home Innovations 2018
5
The stylish design theme of the OPTIMA PREMIUM is continued in the interior of the
vehicle with the new “Bronze Metallic/Stone Grey Metallic” wood finish. Inside and
outside, the new OPTIMA PREMIUM lives up to its high expectations of being a
unique travelling companion for people with demanding aesthetic standards. The
furnishings are complemented by the standard upholstery style “Nevada”.
T65 GQ – a very special kind of OPTIMA The T65 GQ model is available as both an OPTIMA DE LUXE and as an OPTIMA
PREMIUM. That’s a good thing, because this OPTIMA has the X factor, so it
shouldn’t be reserved for just one of the sister model ranges.
The T65 GQ is luxurious, particularly in the rear section, which is taken up by the
comfortable queen-size bed. The middle section – between the bedroom and
living/dining area – is where the sanitary facilities are located. There are two rooms,
because the shower and toilet/washroom are separate units in the T65 GQ. But the-
re’s more – the T65 GQ is coming up with a top innovation in this area for the 2018
season: it will actually be possible to access the washroom from two sides; from the
bedroom and the living area. The advantage of this is that if someone wants to pay a
visit to the toilet from the front section, they won’t have to walk through the bedroom,
where they would possibly disturb the sleep of a fellow traveller, because the living
area can be separated from the sleeping area by a solid wooden door. An ingenious
idea!
The lavish theme is continued in this motorhome in the living area, which is fitted with
an L-shaped seating area as standard in the T65 GQ. Its design blends in perfectly
with the adjoining corner kitchen. The refrigerator in the OPTIMA T65 GQ is also
particularly large – the 150-litre Super Slim Tower ensures that drinks and food are
kept well chilled.
Mobile Home Innovations 2018
6
If you prefer, you can also order the T65 GQ with a drop-down bed as the T65 HGQ.
With two extra berths, four people can sleep in this vehicle. This model is also
available as both an OPTIMA DE LUXE and as an OPTIMA PREMIUM.
Anniversary models in the OPTIMA PREMIUM model range
The anniversary models in the OPTIMA PREMIUM model range – the V65 GE and
T70 F models – are two more truly special motorhomes. Not only do they hit the road
featuring the distinctive “50 years of Hobby” design, they also stand out thanks to
their high-quality anniversary equipment, which even surpasses the already luxurious
“HOBBYKOMPLETT” ALL-INCLUSIVE package. This includes components such as
the double-glazed and tinted framed windows, the L-shaped seating area with single-
post lift table in the T70 F, the bed extension including additional cushion and ladder
in the V65 GE, the external gas socket, alloy rims, the TRUMA DuoControl gas pres-
sure regulator with remote display, the high-performance satellite system from Kath-
rein and last but not least the driver seat cushions with “50 years of Hobby” emb-
roidery, each with two decorative cushions and fleece blankets featuring the “50
years of Hobby” logo.
The Van V65 GE is a model with single beds in the rear; the semi-integrated T70 F is
a layout with a double bed and luxury washroom in the rear.
SIESTA DE LUXE The new exterior design provides the three alcoves in the SIESTA DE LUXE model
range with not only a more modern, but also a far more elegant appearance. It
follows the contour of the base vehicle, making it look more dynamic on the whole as
a result. The standard alcove window on the passenger side, which incorporates the
shape of the alcove, is a perfect fit for the new line. There is the option of fitting the
SIESTA models with high-quality framed windows. In this case you will also get a
handy sliding window in the kitchen area.
Mobile Home Innovations 2018
7
The kitchen in the new Siesta A60 GF is already fitted with the 140-litre Slim Tower
refrigerator as standard. On request, the two other alcove motorhomes (A65 GM and
A70 GM) can even be equipped with the larger Super Slim Tower refrigerator with a
capacity of 150 litres. The equipment for subsequently installing air conditioning and
solar power systems is also offered as an option for the SIESTA models. The Sies-
ta’s sanitary facilities benefit from the OPTIMA model range. That is to say, the new
washroom has been borrowed from it.
The new “Karelia Pine/Anthracite” furniture finish and the new, robust PVC flooring in
the light brown “Bruxelles Brun” wood hue emphasise the family-friendly styling of the
Siesta’s interior.
VANTANA The VANTANA’s automotive styling will be deliberately emphasised for the 2018
season with its new exterior design. It makes the van even more sleek. Anyone who
wants more light in the rear section can order an additional side window as a special
request.
When it comes to the interior furnishings, there’s a choice between two furniture
finishes. The “Bronze Metallic/Stone Grey Metallic” combination is completely new
and will be available as an alternative to the “Ashai Ash/Lana Grey” furniture finish
from the 2018 season onwards.
An 80-litre absorption refrigerator with a 5-litre freezer compartment is now also offe-
red for the VANTANA as an alternative option to the standard Slim-Line compressor
refrigerator.
Mobile Home Innovations 2018
8
The designers have put a lot of time and effort into improving the new compact
washroom. The wet room fitted with the space-saving sliding toilet in the K60 Fs and
K65 Es models is now getting a new mirror cabinet above the window and a small
compartment in the top part of the shower column. A rooflight is also available as an
option for the washroom. In future, the design of the transition area between the cab
and the living area will be significantly improved by the new, extra-wide threshold. It
will be used in all models in the VANTANA and OPTIMA model ranges.
A real treat in terms of road safety is the new reversing camera from Dometic, which
has been specially developed for vans and is available as an option for the
VANTANA. The unit, which acts as a brake light camera, has two lenses that work
independently of one another: one works as a reversing camera, the other as a rear-
view mirror when driving.
Attractive extras
ALDE hot water heater 3020HE The ALDE hot water heater 3020HE will be offered as an option from the 2018 se-
ason onwards for the T65 GE, T70 F, T75 HF, T70 GE and T75 HGE models in the
OPTIMA DE LUXE and OPTIMA PREMIUM model ranges. It has a total power out-
put of 8,500 watts. Of this, 5,500 watts are generated with gas and 3,000 watts with
electricity from the 230-volt mains. Gas and electricity can be used together, but also
independently of one another for heating purposes. An 8.4-litre boiler is integrated in
the heating system from the outset. Both functions – heating and water heating – can
be activated independently of one another. The ALDE hot water heater can be con-
trolled using the TFT control panel, but also controlled remotely using the
HOBBYCONNECT app on a smartphone or tablet.

Detachable trailer hitch
Whether it’s a boat, luggage or motorcycle trailer – for anyone who wants to take
bulky leisure equipment along with them on their holiday and needs a trailer to do so,
Hobby offers a detachable trailer hitch for its motorhomes and vans as an option. The
advantage is that when it’s not in use, the tow ball head can be easily removed and
stored inside the vehicle.
Navigation system with HOBBY logo From the 2018 season onwards, the Blaupunkt navigation system included in the
“HOBBYKOMPLETT” ALL-INCLUSIVE package for the OPTIMA DE LUXE, OPTIMA
PREMIUM and SIESTA DE LUXE model ranges will be delighting its users as soon
as it’s switched on with a welcome screen featuring the brand-specific Hobby design.
Otherwise, the navigation system’s large touch screen display and menu guide
remains unchanged.
Hidden behind the monitor is high-quality communication and media technology.
Aside from navigation, it enables you to listen to the radio, make hands-free calls on
your mobile, enjoy music on CD or via Bluetooth or other media, and much more.
Even DAB+ is available as a special request. With the new digital standard in “Digital
Audio Broadcasting”, the reception of radio broadcasts – particularly in terms of audio
quality – is being even further improved compared to DAB.

Thule Elite bicycle rack From the 2018 season onwards, the Thule Elite Van XT bike rack will be offered as
an optional accessory for the K65 FT and K65 VANTANA models. With a loading
capacity of 35 kg, it’s suitable for transporting two bikes. The rack weighs 10.5 kg
when empty. The advantage of it is the fact that no holes need to be drilled to install
it, and the doors of the van can still be opened, even when bikes are mounted on the
rack.
