Process of creating my front cover for High Contrast magazine

I started of with to

simple brush textures that I then altered

by using layers and curves and also levels.

Next was the mast head, made up of to layers. the

bottom layer with a strong Gaussian blur

filter and the top one with slightly dropped opacity

for the blur beneath to give it a glowing look.

Then i focused on the main cover line, i used the same technique for this as i did the mast head,

apart from I also used the

texturizer and gave it an icy, cold feel to it.

In this stage I slightly lowered the mast

head to make room to design a skyline. Also at this stage i inserted cover lines

with a very bold look to them which suited the house

style of the magazine. As well

as this i also added a bar code.

Finally, I inserted Chris! and the skyline text along with a price and 'RL productions'. Overall I am pleased with how it turned

out.
