The heart of Lyon has been beating for 2000 years. Since ancient times and well into the Renaissance, Lyon has lured artists and visitors alike: Garnier and Bocuse , Guignol and Buren are only a few. Not only is it a famous centre for the arts, it is also a pleasant city to live in with its cycle lanes along the Saône embankment, its famous gastronomical restaurants with their succulent specialities , its "traboules" with their labyrinth-like alley-ways, not to speak of the excellent adresses to be found in the Croix Rousse quarter and the various markets, out-door and in-door...
