PRESS RELEASE: BIKE SHED LONDON 2017 Friday 26 th (PRESS/Preview) SaturdAY 27 th & Sunday 28 th May 2017 Europe's best independent annual motorcycle show, on the last bank holiday weekend in May, celebrates the creativity of the new-wave and cafe-racer custom motorcycle culture, with over 150 curated custom motorcycles, plus live art, photogra- phy, and hand-made accessories, along side selected brands, retailers and exhibitors. Set in London's historic and beautiful Tobacco Docks the event is also famous for it's superb hospitality with high quality, healthy street food, barista coffee, several proper bars, cigar & whiskey lounges, live music, plus multiple live tattoo artists and a multi-chair traditional barbershop. This is NOT a motorcycle trade fair. You'll want to hang-out all weekend, with plenty of space to chill-out and enjoy the crowd, the entertainment and the vibe. Bring your camera, bring your mates, your better halves and the kids too. Every element of this unique and privately-run event is hand-picked by the organisers (usually based at the Bike Shed Mo- torcycle Club in Shoreditch) . The exhibited bikes are "Invitational" selected from the best bike builders in the UK & Europe, plus special guests from the US, without ropes or barriers to obscure the view or spoil your photos. Every brand, retailer and exhibitor is selected and approved by us. Every barista, bar tender, burger (or salad-box) and coffee bean is tried & tested, and the organising staff are mostly bike-loving volunteers and members of the BSMC. The event is extremely family friendly, safe for kids, and enjoyable for non-bike-riders, as well as custom aficionados. Supported by the mainstream motorcycle industry, the event is sponsored by headliners, Ohlins, supported by Rev'It, Triumph, Indian, Ducati, Yamaha and BMW, all exhibiting along side other manufacturers, pro-builders, amateurs and shed-builders alike. Exhibitors, Retailers, Entertainment and Pro-builders will be annouced as they are confirmed but expect the best builders and brands in Europe plus guests from the US. This is our 8th event and fourth year at Tobacco Dock. ...London 2016 attracted 12,000 visitors, but this year we expect 15,000. There will not be a Paris event this year, so the London show is now our European event, and uses all the resources from both events. Some Bike Shed Info... Bike Shed Motorcycle Club has 647,000 followers on Facebook and over 105k on Instagram. We reach and engage with around 5-6million people in the week of our annual events. Our online social media reach is genuinely global and is 100% or- ganic. The Bike Shed main website serves 700,000 pages a month to around 200,000 unique users. We also have a London club membership of around 600. The BSMC is privately owned and run by family & friends.

PRESS RELEASE: BIKE SHED LONDON 2017

Friday 26th (PRESS/Preview) SaturdAY 27th & Sunday 28th May 2017

Europe's best independent annual motorcycle show, on the last bank holiday weekend in May, celebrates the creativity of the new-wave and cafe-racer custom motorcycle culture, with over 150 curated custom motorcycles, plus live art, photogra-phy, and hand-made accessories, along side selected brands, retailers and exhibitors.

Every element of this unique and privately-run event is hand-picked by the organisers (usually based at the Bike Shed Mo-torcycle Club in Shoreditch) .

Our online social media reach is genuinely global and is 100% or-ganic. The Bike Shed main website serves 700,000 pages a month to around 200,000 unique users. We also have a London club membership of around 600. The BSMC is privately owned and run by family & friends.

Quotes from Dutch:

This year’s exhibiton event (our eighth show) really will be bigger, better and bolder than ever. We have taken on much more space at Tobacco Dock, and we intend to be even more picky about the quality of the exhibitors, retailers and hospitality. Even more of the crew are volunteers, paid staff are hand-picked, and we will keep our home-grown feel throughout the event.

In response to feedback from last year there will be even more food & drink, more space for kids, more music and entertainment, and every single bike will have earned its place on its Bike Shed Plinth.

We’ve enjoyed running our shows in Paris during 2015 and 2016, but the current climate in France’s capital city isn’t motorcycle friendly and we felt that our efforts weren’t being rewarded, so we’ve pulled plans for a Paris show in 2017. Without a Paris show in April to distract us, we have applied all the time and resources we have into making this May in London event our European show, and we know that most of the visitors and exhibitors from previous Paris events will now come to London.

The Bike Shed Motorcyce Club now has over a year of exisiting as a fulltime space in Shoreditch, and as we’ve grown our physical and online presence we’ve been careful to keep the heart of the brand and it’s promise to it’s members and customers - which is to stay 100% curated and focussed on the quality of experience.

...However big our London event gets we will not compromise on quality or value for money.
