Bikeability Year 4
Congratulations to all those children in Oak and Elm class who participated in the Bikeability training this week. You
were all a credit to both the school and yourselves.
School League tables
We were delighted to learn this week that Chancellor Park Primary School featured 13th out of 528 primary
schools in Essex, in this year's league tables! I am extremely proud of our amazing children, staff, School
Governors and the support we receive from parents who make such achievements possible.

Guided Reading Books
We were very excited and grateful to receive a
selection of books purchased using commission
raised from the school book fayres. These new
books will be shared with the children in assembly
next week and then made available for the children
to enjoy from for use in class for guided reading
after half-term.
Promoting British Core Values Award
As many of you will be aware each week we focus on one of our school’s core values and ask you as parents to discuss
the question we have posed at home with your child. We saw lots of fantastic responses to our weekly ‘Big Question’
initiative last term which fuelled some really high quality discussions and debates in class. Please continue to
participate and encourage your child to give the weekly ‘Big Question’ some thought!
We have decided to continue our Big Question in class, however on Friday we will be awarding our Blue stars to those
children who have demonstrated any one of our core values, along with our general stars of the week.
Our ‘Big Questions’ for next week will be linked to our value of Enjoyment
KS1 Who do you make happy?
KS2 Whoever is happy will make others happy too. (Anne Frank) . Discuss
This week our core value stars were awarded to: Harry WF (R), Rio M (1), Jessica L (2), Victoria K (3), Neve B (4 Elm), Sam A (4 Oak), Emily C (5) and Oscar D (6). They will be having lunch on the top table
with the other star winners, Mrs Brown and Mr Lole on Monday.
Safer Internet Day A message from Mr Hobart, e-safety Lead – Safer Internet Day is on the 11th February 2020! This day aims to inspire a national conversation about using technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively. The children will be having an assembly about their online identity on Monday and each class will be doing a lesson with their teacher about staying safe on the internet. Please talk to your children about when they use the internet and how they can stay safe.
Clubs (Yr 1-6)
All clubs should be running as normal next week. Please ensure your
child is collected promptly.
