Vesterheim MuseumAdult Coloring Event in the Exhibition “From Tradition to Protest: Lila Nelson’s Weaving Life”Friday 3-5pm. Admission: FreeAdult creative coloring is the newest hot thing! Relax and learn about Lila Nelson’s weavings while coloring pages based on her work. Lila Nelson, Vesterheim’s first Textile Curator, was an accomplished textile artist. Studies have found that coloring is linked to relieving symptoms of anxiety and stress.

Winneshiek Wildberry Winery 9th Annual Chili Cook-offGuys - Are you looking for something to do while the ladies are at Women’s Weekend Out? How about entering your great chili recipe in the 9th annual chili cook-off on Saturday? There is a limited number of cooks to participate and you need to call the winery in advance to register. There is a $15.00 registration fee. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three chilies. An additional prize will be awarded to the people’s choice winner so gather your friends and have them vote.

All chilies will be prepared onsite starting at 10am. Cooking starts at 10:30. Winery visitors can sample from 2:30- 3:30pm and vote for their favorite. Free tasting of new wine releases will be available during the day.
