From the Desk of President

On behalf of the Board members of the

eHealth Consortium, we would like to wish

all of you a Very Happy New Year.

Over the last twelve years, the eHealth

Consortium has been leading the eHealth

development by bridging healthcare and IT

industries. We have been engaged in many

spectacular events and activities, such as

Asia Pacific Electronic Health Records

Conference; eHealth Forum cum Annual

Dinner; seminars and etc. All these

provided great opportunities and platforms

for the stakeholders of eHealth Sectors

sharing their valuable experiences and

studies; boosting the growth of smart health in Hong Kong and Greater China

region.

While journey of more than a decade is certainly a milestone, it’s the

future and our mission to keep striving for the advancement of local eHealth

industry. In the meantime, I appeal to all members to support us in promoting

eHealth implementations in Hong Kong and Greater China Region. Last but

not least, I wish to thank all of you for participating in our events and offering

your ideas for continuous improvements of eHealth Consortium.

eHealth Forum cum eHC Annual Dinner 2016

A glittering and delightful Annual Dinner held on 10 January 2017 at the Golden Lilies in Cyberport. Over 200 guests had attended the annual event, including officials from Government Department and Liaison Office of the Central People’ Government in HKSAR, prominent figures from professional bodies as well as leading celebrities from IT/healthcare sectors in HK and China. The conference was co-organized by the Hong Kong Society of Medical Informatics, eHealth Consortium & HL7 Hong Kong. It was held at the Grand Hall of the Hong Kong Science Park on 6th & 7th July 2016. This Conference was in line with the rapid development of Electronic Health Records Systems in Hong Kong and worldwide, and coincided with the launching of Hong Kong Territory-wide Electronic Health Records Sharing System by the HKSAR Government in early 2016. This was a successful and prominent event in Hong Kong eHealth Sector, which had reached a very high registration rate; most of the eHealth stakeholders shared and discussed the state of the art IT/Healthcare Development in the Conference.

1. The participants paid great

attention to the presentation.

The seminar with our Platinum Corporate Member, Cisco was successfully held on 23rd June 2016. The seminar was focus on “Security and Hyperflex for

organizations in Hong Kong leading eHealth advocacy in the region and we are the prime

agency bridging healthcare and IT industries to advance the development of eHealth in

Hong Kong and Mainland China.
