Paying for Your CourseAll fees are payable on or prior to enrolment including any balance of tuition fees where ILA or Part Time Fee Grant is being used as part payment. If a learner uses an ILA to fund a course and fails to submit the ILA token, the learner becomes liable for the full course fees.

Instalment arrangements are available for fees or balance of fees in excess of £150, with an initial payment of 25% of course fees required to be paid on or prior to enrolment.

Where employers are paying students tuition fees, confirmation of this will be required in writing prior to or at enrolment. Invoices can be sent to employers who have agreed to pay their employee’s fees.

Please note - Arrangements to pay tuition fees must be made at enrolment. If using an ILA, your account must be active prior to enrolment.

Help with FundingFee WaiverTuition Fees for some courses will be waived for students who:

• Are in receipt of certain benefits and can provide evidence

• Are a school pupil

Please note - Not all courses are eligible for fee waiver

SDS Individual Learning Account (ILA)SDS Individual Learning Accounts are for Scottish residents who are 16 or over.You can apply for an ILA if you:

• have an annual income of £22,000 or less or are in receipt of a qualifying benefit

• are not currently participating on an SDS training programme (the Employability Fund and the Modern Apprenticeship programme)

• are not currently participating in secondary, further or higher education

• are not already qualified to degree level or above

Part-t ime Fee grantDo you want to study towards an HNC, HND or Professional Qualification but have family commitments or in employment? If so, then a part time/evening advanced study course could be the answer.

If you are 16 or over, living in Scotland and earn £25,000 a year, or less, you can access a Part-time Fee Grant from the Scottish Awards Agency (SAAS). The level of funding is dependent on the number of credits studied.

Course v iabi l i tySome courses listed within this brochure may not reach the level of student numbers required to make them a viable learning experience and may be cancelled. If this happens you will be offered an alternative course or your fees will be reimbursed.

student WithdrawalIf a student chooses to withdraw from a course, fees are non-refundable as stated in the Tuition Fee refund & Withdrawal procedure. Learners will still be liable for any payments still to be made under their Instalment Plan Agreement.
