New to Gateway?
Welcome to 2014 at Gateway. We are so thankful to God for His grace and generosity to our church throughout the last year. We are also really excited to see what God has in store for us in this New Year as we continue in our Mission of changing lives by following Jesus in our community, our nation and our world.
Summer in Queensland is filled with sun, crowded beaches, water sports and BBQ’s with family and friends. Throughout His ministry, Jesus spent significant time with crowds near the water – teaching, eating, healing and transforming lives. During our January Summer Series we are going to look at some of Jesus’ stories by the water. We will be encouraged and challenged by His words and we will be reminded of the incredible opportunity we have to be transformed by embracing the life Jesus offers.
The New Year also gives us the opportunity to establish some great habits that will serve us well throughout the year. In the coming weeks we will be launching a new Bible Reading Plan for 2014. I want to encourage you to take time to read God’s Word for yourself this year and be both encouraged and challenged as God uses it to speak into your life and circumstances.

PRAYER TRANSFORMATION MINISTRY This is a unique Spirit-led Prayer Ministry for men and women who want to get to the root of those things hindering them moving towards spiritual wholeness and maturity in Christ. Jesus wants to bring healing and transformation to those deep recesses of our heart that have been damaged.

COFFEE SHOPOur coffee shop is undergoing renovations to update this great space for our church family to connect with one another on Sunday’s and throughout the week. and lonely • saw positive change for 22 families via ongoing support on the
“On Track Program”• raised over $108,000 via the Opp Shop• sent over 50 truckloads of clothes & shoes to missions • witnessed several people coming to know Jesus as their Saviour• saw people healed of illnesses, and overcoming major crisis• sewed 1000’s of good seeds in over 1000 hearts

ROYAL TREATMENT VIEWView is for women to connect with other women on a social level in a positive environment. Once a month we have a time to inspire and a craft activity or adventure. Our aim is for women to discover their own worth and seek a positive outlook on life whilst embracing their true potential and purpose in life. ROYAL TREATMENT PAMPEROnce a month our Royal Treatment team support and pamper women who are living in domestic violence shelters by giving them a morning filled with love.The ladies are welcomed with a gift, pamper appointment (a choice of haircut, massage, manicure, foot massage or facial) and their children minded while they can enjoy a coffee and high tea. Each event begins with input on a particular marriage topic then lets couples process together over coffee and dessert at their very own ‘date table’.

Discipleship an interactive growth group
Are you interested in learning a non-threatening way of sharing you faith with non-Christians? Are you interested in growing your faith in God in a practical way, together with others?
Experience and learn first-hand how God’s Story comes alive in a 10-week interactive discipleship and growth group. We will cover core aspects of the Christian faith, starting in Genesis and ending in Revelation.
Join this newly formed interactive weekly Bible Study & Discipleship Group run by Gerhard Klooster starting early 2014, and see the Bible through the lens of storytelling.
