To approve order approving a Sharing Funds Agreement with the City of Irvingfor $25,865.19 in Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant (JAIBG)"turnback" funds, and authorizing the County Judge to sign said agreement onbehalf of Dallas County.

To approve order authorizing the Personnel Department to post the four (4)Probation Officer positions that are included in the Texas Juvenile ProbationCommission (TJPC) Special Needs Diversionary Program grant application.

To approve order approving the Juvenile Department's request to award contractsto existing residential services providers for FY 2002, and authorizing the CountyJudge to sign said contracts on behalf of Dallas County.


36. COURT ORDER:

To approve order approving the Juvenile Department's request to approve acontract and license agreement with Correctional Services Corporation (CSC) forthe operation and programming of the 96-Bed Secure Post and Pre-AdjudicationFacility (Harry Hines Juvenile Detention Annex) and the 96-Bed Post-AdjudicationResidential Facility (Lyle B. Medlock Youth Treatment Center), and authorizing theCounty Judge to sign said contract and license agreement on behalf of DallasCounty.

37. COURT ORDER:

To approve order extending current contract (Bid No. 98-352 - Annual Contractfor a Dental Assistant) with Janice Henry for an additional period not to exceedsixty (60) days (9/15/01 - 11/14/01), due to the fact that the JuvenileDepartment is attempting to negotiate a contract with Baylor Dental Collegethrough an interlocal agreement.

38. COURT ORDER:

To approve order extending current contract (Bid No. 99-215-123 - AnnualContract for Carpet Cleaning Services) with Quality Home Services for anadditional twelve (12) month period, effective October 5, 2001 through October4, 2002, at an estimated annual cost of $50,000.00.

39. COURT ORDER:

To approve order extending current contracts (Bid No. 99-220-135 - AnnualContract for the Services of a Licensed Dentist) with Kenneth A. Bolin, DDS, andDemetra Jones, DDS, for an additional period not to exceed sixty (60) days(9/15/01 - 11/14/01), due to the fact that the Juvenile Department is attemptingto negotiate a contract with Baylor Dental College through an interlocalagreement.

40. COURT ORDER:

To approve order extending current contracts (Bid No. 99-226-147 - AnnualContract for Fax Machine Maintenance) with Dal-Tex Business Systems andAmFax Business Communications for an additional twelve (12) month period,effective October 1, 2001 through September 30, 2002, at an estimated annualcost of $10,387.00.


41. COURT ORDER:

To approve order extending current contract (Bid No. 99-235-158 - AnnualContract for Janitorial Services for Area C) with CTJ Maintenance, Inc. for anadditional twelve (12) month period, effective October 1, 2001 throughSeptember 30, 2002, at an estimated annual cost of $198,588.00.

42. COURT ORDER:

To approve order extending current contracts (Bid No. 2000-197-574 - AnnualContract for Fire Safety Equipment & Services) with Total Fire and Safety, Inc.and Universal Fire Equipment for an additional twelve (12) month period, effectiveOctober 1, 2001 through September 30, 2002, at an estimated annual cost of$69,263.15.

43. COURT ORDER:

To approve order extending current contract (Bid No. 2000-237-644 - Contractfor the Services of a Licensed Dentist [Juvenile]) with Edwin Wilkinson, DMD MS,for an additional period not to exceed sixty (60) days (9/15/01 - 11/14/01), dueto the fact that the Juvenile Department is attempting to negotiate a contractwith Baylor Dental College through an interlocal agreement.

44. COURT ORDER:

To approve order extending current contract (Bid No. 2001-008-683 - AnnualContract for Delivery & Courier Services [JP's & Constables]) with Leach LegalService until November 2, 2001, and approving the modification of said bid, dueto the recent redistricting, to include pick-up and delivery service at the EastDallas Government Center, beginning October 1, 2001, at an additional cost of$25.00 per day.

45. COURT ORDER:

To approve order authorizing the cancellation and rejection of all bids received forBid No. 2001-135-892 (Annual Contract for Newspaper Advertising) and re-solicitunder revised specifications; discontinuing the advertising of all Bids/RFP's in thethree (3) community newspapers and advertise all Bids/RFP's in The DallasMorning News only; and authorizing the Purchasing Department to procure pricingin accordance with Dallas County policies and procedures for non-legal notices/public information ads on an "as needed" basis for departments that requireadvertisements targeting a select audience or market type due to grant and/orstate and federal requirements.


46. COURT ORDER:

To approve order approving Amendment No.3, in an increased amount of$12,210.00, to the contract with James Pratt Architecture Urban Design, Inc. foradditional described services needed for the Old Red Courthouse PreservationProject - Phase I, and authorizing the County Judge to execute said document onbehalf of Dallas County.

To approve order authorizing the County Judge to execute a Local ProjectAdvance Funding Agreement (LPAFA) with the State of Texas, acting by anthrough the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), for the Loop 9 MajorInvestment Study (MIS) and Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS).

To approve order authorizing the County Judge to execute a contract, in theamount of $3,508,909.43, with Ed Bell Construction Company and SupplementalCity/County Agreements with the City of Mesquite and the Town of Sunnyvalefor the construction of the Clay Road (East Glen Boulevard to SH-352) Project 91846.

51. COURT ORDER:

To approve order authorizing the County Judge to execute SupplementalAgreements to the Master Agreement Governing Transportation Major CapitalImprovement Projects with the Cities of Cedar Hill, Dallas, and Duncanville, in acombined amount not to exceed $1,900,000, for the purpose of transportationimprovements on Clark Road, from Couch Lane to Danieldale Road.

To approve order awarding an Indefinite Delivery Quantity (IDQ) Contract toContract Land Staff, Inc. for a three (3) year term and authorizing the CountyJudge to execute said contract and related documents; authorizing payment ofan amount not to exceed $1,000.00 to Contract Land Staff, Inc. for executionof the IDQ Contract, with said fee to be applied to the initial Work Order executedunder this contract; and authorizing the Public Works Department to negotiate theWork Order fee amounts for the projects selected for outsourced right of wayacquisition services and submit the results for formal approval.

54. COURT ORDER:

To approve order accepting the Offer and Purchase Agreement from SulmaGonzales to purchase tax foreclosure property located at 150 Seahawk in DeSotofor $25,000 and 160 Seahawk in DeSoto for $25,000; authorizing the CountyJudge to execute a Quitclaim Deed; and authorizing the Tax Assessor Collectorto receive and disburse the proceeds in accordance with the Tax Code.
