ExecutiveSummaryAsahalfdecadehaspassed,thetidetowardgenderequalityintheresearchindustryisgraduallyturning.Femalesareincreasinglyfillingmoreseniorpositions;makingsalariesclosertothoseoftheirmalecounterpartsandtakingamoreproactiveattitudetowardachievingtheircareergoals. Yetwhilesomegapshavenarrowed,andcompaniesaretakingmeasurestopromoteequalityandsupportparents,thereisstillmuchworktobedonetoachieveparityincompensationandinwomenreachingthehighest-levelpositionsatthelargestagencies.

v Womenareclimbingfurtherupthecorporateladder,andarehighlymotivatedtogrow,yetmenstillassumemoreofthetoppositions,particularlyinlargerorganizations.

v Thegenderpaygapisshrinkingattheseniorlevel,particularlyoutsideoftheUS,withwomengainingrecognitionthroughbonuses.Inspiteofthis,compensationamongparentsshowssizeable(andincreased)disparity.
