FIRE SAFETY

The data center utilizes a multi-level fire detection and suppression system, consisting of early smoke detection apparatus Vesda, integrated fire alarm and annunciation system Apollo, portable gas fire extinguisher system and the automatic HI-FOG® water mist system, capable for local fire suppression (fire localization 4m x 4m).

The integrated fire line with distilled water mist is supplied through a dry-pipe system to discharge heads located within the room and floor void. It can also be distributed using a 60m fire hose reel.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION

POWER SUPPLY

2N power with SLA of 99,999%.

External power supply — two independent inputs from two different power (grid) substations.

External power redundancy — “classic” scheme: UPS + diesel generators. Highly efficient UPS with double conversion and modular structure, allowing on-site maintenance and repair. Lightweight lithium-ion batteries, which are smaller, lighter and last longer than traditional ones.

Diverse routing of the power distribution with A+B supplies and 100% mutual redundancy available for each rack.

COOLING

A unique cooling system, organized through multiple independent sources, including “classic” DX scheme utilizing refrigerant gas-based CRAC units as well as chillers with free cooling by Vertiv.

An eco-friendly chiller-based system in Phase 3, utilizing adiabatic cooling and the ability to use recycled condensation and rainwater with Liebert® AFC adiabatic free cooling chillers, and the Liebert PDX with Vertiv EconoPhase™, an air-cooled direct expansion critical system with a refrigerant pumping module.

N+1 redundancy, where maximum N value is 5. Current data hall load ensures redundancy at no less than N+2.

Guaranteed climate at the DC: temperature +18…27°С (64.4 - 80.6F) and humidity 30…60% at dew point temperature from 5,5 °C to 15 °C (41.9 - 59F), compliant with ASHRAE TC 9.9 2012.

PHYSICAL SECURITY

Our data center has five levels of physical security, including several guard checkpoints and biometric access system to control the entrance into the building, data halls and cages.

MONITORING AND MANAGEMENT

We run BMS Computrols system, which monitors and provides registration status for more than 200 parameters of equipment, energy usage and climate quality.
