Electricity Consumption in The World Today
• Since the 1990’s, The world’s total net energy consumption has almost doubled.
• On average, 16,378.62 billion kilowatts are generated hourly around the world.
• Electrical Energy has become one of the most important resources in our world today.

• Overgrowing population is stressing the resources of their nations.
• They have an urgent need for clean, renewable, and cheap sources of energy. This will help prevent the contribution to greenhouse gases.
Developing Third World Countries
The two most populated countries in the world.
Research
Electromagnetic Induction Calculating Energy Return
P = ρhrgkP is Power in watts,ρ is the density of water (~1000 kg/m3),h is height in meters,r is flow rate in cubic meters per second,g is acceleration due to gravity of 9.8 m/s2,k is a coefficient of efficiency ranging from 0 to 1. Efficiency is often higher (that is, closer to 1) with larger and more modern turbines.
• ESTIMATED OUTPUT35, 752.85 watts of electricity with a tube diameter of 4 feet and .25 efficiency
• Electromagnetic induction is the production of voltage across a conductor situated in a changing magnetic field or a conductor moving through a stationary magnetic field.

Options For an Electric Generator
Portability & Set Up -
Ability of the generator
for the user’s to use
easily and set up quickly when
needed
Functionality - Ability of
the generator to
work in different
climates or terrains.
Output - Ability of
the generator to
supply a constant
amount of electric energy.
Self-Sustainable - Ability of
the generator to
work with minimal Human
interaction.

• Each Number value ranges on a scale of 1-5.
• The meaning behind each number for each criteria may be different.
• In the end, we concluded that an hydro-electric generator would be the most viable for our target areas.
