• Georgia has 5 physiographic regions. They are the Appalachian Plateau, Ridge & Valley, Blue Ridge, Piedmont, and the Coastal Plain.

• Georgia is the largest state east of the Mississippi River. There are 5 states that border Georgia. They are Florida, Alabama, Tenneesee, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

• Appalachian Plateau Region-smallest region, located in the northwestern corner of the state.
