This tournament was a two man team with a better ball format on Saturday and a team combined score on Sunday.This year’s field was maxed out once again at 52 teams with 10 teams competing in our Masters division. It was an awfully close leader board with the final groups deciding the winners. Congratulations to our repeat Overall Gross Champions Bubba Gwyn and Brian Kelleher with a fantastic team score of 3 under 213. Your Overall Net Champion goes to Wes Nobles and Robbie Millard with another fantastic team score of 8 under 208! Congratulations to our Champions and to our flight winners as well. We appreciate everyone supporting the event and look forward to next month’s Club Championship!! Member-Member Results

During the last weekend of the month, we held the annual Men’s Member-Member tournament. This tournament was a two man team with a better ball format on Saturday and a team combined score on Sunday. Rain in the forecast almost every day but most of the time the course was playable, tournament and matches getting done and the course could not be in better shape. We are blessed to have such a great staff to keep the course so well maintained.

The August and early September events include:Senior Match Play - FinalsSenior two Man Match Play – FinalsAugust 8 Weekday Net Senior Club Championship - with a 9am shotgun start. The tournament is open to all senior members over the age of 50. White and Gold Tee Divisions. Registration is currently available in the Golf Shop.August 9 CC Roswell hosts the North East Seniors event 9:00 am Shotgun Start August 20 NASMGA Tournament at Brookfield CCAugust 30 Senior’s and wives dinner at Berkeley 6pm social 7pm dinner, all welcome

Senior Match Play Team August and early September events:To date Berkeley won 2 of 4 matches scoring 36.5 points- opponents 35.5 points.Match Play Captain Barry Lakas says “We are just about break-even for the first half of the season. We need to toughen up a little for the second half in order to get back to the championship match!”July 25 Match Play Team event vs. St. Ives CC at Berkeley August 14 Match Play Team event at Polo Golf and CC September 5 Match Play Tem event at Country Club of RoswellAll Registered Berkeley Seniors sign up for competitions posted in the “Senior Book” in the Berkeley Pro Shop 2 weeks before event.

The final match of the season will be held at Sandy Springs Tennis Center on Saturday, August 4th at 5:00pm. Hopefully they will prevail and be the City Champions!Way to go Ladies!!

Tennis Ball Recycle!!!

Don’t throw away your old tennis balls! Please bring your tired old tennis balls and put them in our tennis ball recycle bin at the tennis shop. These balls will be used for schools, nursing homes and pet owners.

Have your Racquet repairs done before Winter Season begins! Tune up your racquet with a new grip and strings. All repairs completed within 24 hours or same day service if requested.
