Answer Time!
If 8 cans cost £4.80, one can will be £0.60 and two cans will be £1.20.
£3.60 £1.20 = £2.40. So, three cakes will be £2.40, which means one cake will be £0.80.

Some important discussion conventions to remember!
Don't take sides - saywhat "people" think
Some people say...Others argue...Brothers would claim that...Sisters reply...Keep it balanced, e.g.
On the one hand...On the other hand...
Don't be too definite- use conditionals
It could be claimed...This might mean...possibly perhaps
Remember it is third person, not I think

In The tunnel story there are a brother and a sister who are very different to each other. While playing one day, Jack finds a dark tunnel and wants to explore through it. His sister doesn't like the idea so he leaves without her. After waiting a long time, Jack does not return and the dilemma for Rose is whether she should go into the tunnel to find her brother.
Rose and Jack are brother and sister in the story of The Tunnel. When they are playing out one day, Jack decides to explore through a tunnel they find. Rose doesn't want to, so Jack goes without her, but when her brother does not return after a long time she has the dilemma of deciding whether to go after him or not. This discussion will consider the reasons for and against her going after him.
We are now going to start writing our balanced argument about The Tunnel. Here's my introduction above. Now have a go at your own version. Remember:

Modelled WritingThere are many arguments for and against the girl entering the tunnel. On the one hand, if she loved her brother surely she would have no choice but to go after him. On the other hand however, as he has constantly made her life a misery, she may feel this is the perfect opportunity to get rid of him once and for all.
Many people believe that entering the tunnel would be a serious mistake for the girl. It is well known that dark, old tunnels can be terrifying and dangerous places that should be avoided at all costs. Furthermore...
On the other hand many people may feel that it is essential the girl goes after her brother. After all, they argue that despite his mean attitude towards her, he would surely change it if she went to his rescue. Additionally...
In conclusion there are many arguments for and against the girl entering the tunnel. On balance, I believe...
