Purpose1. For the Governing Body to receive the recommendations of the Auckland Plan Committee

on the Draft Auckland Unitary Plan and to approve the plan for notification.

Execut ive Summary2. The Auckland Plan Committee met on 28, 29 & 30 August 2013 and 2 & 5 September 2013

to consider the Draft Auckland Unitary Plan for notification.

3. The Auckland Plan Committee has completed consideration and is forwarding itsrecommendations to the Governing Body.

4. The Governing Body should note that clause qqq) of the Auckland Plan Committees

resolution states:

qqq) delegate authority to the Chair, the Deputy Chair and one member of the IndependentMaori Statutory Board the ability to approve minor amendments to the amended draftAuckland Unitary Plan prior to the Governing Body meeting on 10 September 2013.

5. Attachment A to this report is the Auckland Plan Committees final resolution andrecommendation to the Governing Body to approve the Draft Unitary Plan for notification.

Recommendation/s

That the Governing Body:a) approve the notification of the amended draft of the Auckland Unitary Plan, subject to

any amendments agreed to and approved under delegated authority.
