LIGHTING RESEARCH Penn State. August 2011- Present

Performed data-intensive computational modelling and analysis on more than 500 commercial troffer luminaires to study their performance trends.

Did extensive research on advanced Daylight modelling techniques and Lighting Control Systems during the course of my graduate studies. Proposed a control algorithm for dimming multiple luminaire zones in daylighted spaces as a part of my Master of Science thesis research.

Conceptualized and implemented parametric workflows for optimizing annual daylighting simulations for my doctoral research work.

Created, from the ground up, a data visualization tool for analyzing results generated by annual daylighting simulations as a part of the DOE funded EEB HUB initiative.

Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, California. May 2016- August 2016 Summer internship in the Building Technology and Urban Systems Division. Worked on the F-Matrix Method, the latest annual daylighting simulation technique introduced by LBNL in 2015 and

still under active development. Have been commissioned by LBNL to write a comprehensive tutorial on the F-Matrix Method. An official release

announcement is expected in October 2016.

LIGHTING SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT Honeybee/Ladybug – An Open Source library for Building Simulations. September 2015- Present

Core contributor to the Honeybee library. Wrote modules for implementing electric lighting simulations and matrix-based daylighting simulation methods.

Details about the latest development work can be found in the following workshop presentation: goo.gl/FKG2zE An announcement regarding the work on electric lighting simulations can be found here: goo.gl/Xa43k7 The status of my involvement on this and other open source projects can be viewed on github.com/sariths
