The Venues

The Granary Barns

The Granary Barns are found on the family farm tucked away in the secluded village of Woodditton just outside Newmarket. The Taylor family have lived and worked here on the farm for over a century and the Granary Barn was a functional farm building used to store grain during harvest before being beautifully renovated in the winter of 2012. It is now one of the most stunning venues of the area and fast becoming a must see destination. The beauty of the barn lies not just in the history of this 18th Century building but also in its idyllic location set back from the world and surrounded by Suffolk countryside at its best.

The Polo Club

Providing over 32 acres of grassland and steeped in local history, The Polo Club has long been a part of our farms heritage. The ground boasts a modest sporting pavilion in the centre of the field and is the perfect focal point of your event. The pavilion comes equipped with all amenities - toilets, small kitchen and open area suitable for a small party of up to 50 people or why not add a marquee to the side for a much larger event? The Polo Club is the perfect blank canvas awaiting your own individual interpretation and the possibilities are simply endless. Ideal for marquee events, sporting games, festivals or charity occasions; after all there is unlimited parking space!If you have an unusual event to host or just require a large area please get in touch, we would love to help.

Civil CeremoniesWe are fully licensed to hold Civil Ceremonies here at the Granary Barns. The smaller Flint Barn is able to seat up to 90 guests for an intimate Ceremony. For larger numbers we can accomodate you in the main Granary Barn complete with a reveal upon entry. With your own decoration you can use as much or as little as you wish to make your

Ceremony personal to you.

Wedding ReceptionThe Granary Barns are the most exquisite destination to host your Wedding Reception. With the stunning 18th Century flint barns at your disposal you can be sure that your day will be every bit

as magical as you had dreamt.

The entrance to the barns is through the smaller Flint Barn up the gravelled driveway, next to the millpond. Your guests will be welcomed into the Flint Barn by our professional and welcoming reception team who will be on hand to pass around the reception drinks. Guests will then walk through to the main Granary Barn via the glazed walkway which overlooks the beautifully

landscaped courtyard and flower beds below.

The walkway leads to the main Granary Barn which will be set up ready for your Wedding Breakfast. Seeing this grand barn in all its glory will take your breath away upon entry. It is simply the most stunning magnificent room in which to host your first meal as husband and wife. With seating for 180 guests and room for a further 60 in the evening, the Granary Barns are able to cater for sizable parties. The barn and the walkway both open up into the courtyard which has been expertly produced with stunning bedding plants and rose beds. The courtyard is the perfect area in which to relax upon arrival and mingle with guests. It is also perfect for those all-important photo opportunities or why not let your guests enjoy exploring the barns and let the photographer whisk

you around the stunning grounds for some truly magical photographs.

Choose from one of our two unique venues to host the perfect party exclusive to you. The Granary Barns are the ideal venue to create an impressive and memorable gathering. With the barns big enough to seat up to 180 guests in the mains Granary Barn or a total of 240 standing guests we are able to cater for sizeable gatherings. With bar, coloured up lighting, sound system and dance floor a real party

atmosphere is easily obtained in wonderful surroundings.

If you are looking to hold even larger numbers the Polo Club is the ideal space to put up the marquee of your choice. With endless space and a pavillion located in the centre for all your amenities it is the

ideal venue to create the event you always wanted.

So whether you are planning a formal sit down occasion or a more relaxed style of event the Granary Estates can help you by providing the perfect venue for your needs as well as having our experienced

events team on hand to help make your event go with a bang for all the right reasons.

The Granary Barns provide a truly unique setting for your corporate event. The rustic charm of the barns provides a comfortable and relaxed environment just outside Newmarket and within easy

distance of the A14 and A11 commuter routes.

The main Granary Barn offers you and your clients a choice of seating arrangements ranging from 220 theatre style to 84 in cabaret formation. The Granary Barns provides you with a wireless and wired

network as well as roving microphones, PA system, all AV equipment and event stationery.

The sheer size of the barns mean we are able to cater for large numbers as well as flexibility in seating arrangements to accomodate your individual needs. With our onsite kitchens and professional catering

staff we offer a very competitive package.

Our onsite accomodation is perfect to make sure your whole experience here at the Granary Estates a truly relaxing one. The farm cottage is self-catering with three double bedrooms, sitting room and kitchen. The house overlooks the Granary Barns opposite and has a vast garden at the back, perfect for having a BBQ the night

At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A1303, signposted Newmarket.• At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit, signposted Burwell, Quy.• At the next roundabout (with the horse) take the 2nd exit, signposted Newmarket.• Turn right onto B1061, signposted Haverhill.• Take next left onto Woodditton Road.• Continue on this road into Woodditton.• At the crossroads turn left through the village into Little Ditton.• Take the first left at the crossroads into Parsonage Farm Lane - the barns will then be on your left.

From Bury St Edmunds;• Leave A14 at junction 39, continue along the B1506 through Kentford.• At the traffic lights continue on to the A1304 into Newmarket.• At the clock tower roundabout take 1st exit onto Old Station Road, B1063, signposted Clare.• At the end of the road turn left and immediately right onto Duchess Drive.• Keep on this road into the village Saxon Street.• Take first right - School Road• After half a mile take first left, Parsonage Lane.

From Bury St Edmunds;• Exit A14 at junction 39, continue along B1506 through Kentford.• At the traffic lights continue on A1304 into Newmarket.• At the clock tower roundabout, go straight over and through town.• Keep on the A1304 straight out of Newmarket and keep going straight.• At the roundabout (with the horse) go straight over.• Continue for about 1 mile. Take the first road to the left, signposted Dullingham.• The Polo field will appear on the right and the entrance is just past the field on the right.

From Cambridge;• Follow the A1134 past the airport.
