Deputy Brian Maines and Probation and Parole execut-ed a warrant for Jordan L. Richardson, 25, of Dry Ridge, at 12:21 p.m. Feb. 6 on Blair Road. Richardson was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Deputy Scott Conrad executed a warrant for

Amanda D. Howell, 25, of Williamstown for failure to appear in court, at 5:17 p.m. Feb. 4 on Falmouth Road. Howell was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Sgt. Terry Osborne exe-cuted a Boone and Grant County warrant for Heather N. Stamper, 22, of Williamstown, at 11:20 a.m. Feb. 7 on S. Main Street. Stamper was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Deputy Matt Boshears executed a warrant for Ryan R. Beagle, 24, of Crittenden, at 5:32 p.m. Feb. 7 on S. Main Street. Beagle was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Deputy Kevin Burke exe-cuted a warrant for Timothy P. Wehrman, 34, of Dry Ridge, for failure to appear in court in Kenton County, at 10:18 p.m. Feb. 7 on Reeves Road. Wehrman was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Deputy Matt Boshears executed a Boone and Kenton County warrant for Jeremiah D. McComas, 30, of Dry Ridge, at 5:27 a.m. Feb. 10 on Curry Lane. McComas was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Deputy Scott Conrad investigated an accident at 1:57 p.m. Feb. 4 on Knoxville Road. The drivers involved were Theodore C. Orcutt, 24, of Demossville, driving a 1995 Oldsmobile, Raymond C. Furman III, 37, of Williamstown, driving a 2003 Volkswagen and Katie M. Hess, 34, of Falmouth, driving a 2004 Volkswagen.

Deputy Robert Morgan investigated an accident at 6:44 p.m. Feb. 4 on the Dry Ridge By-Pass. The drivers involved were Brooke Hunt, 28, of Florence, driving a 2006 Pontiac and Natasha D. Colson, 25, of Dry Ridge, driving a 1995 Chevrolet.

Deputy Brian Maines investigated an accident at 7:40 a.m. Feb. 7 on N. Main Street. The drivers involved were Joseph W. Peace, 21, of Dry Ridge, driving a 1994 Toyota and Jennifer K. Lillpop, 24, of Crittenden,

investigated an accident at 10:15 a.m. Feb. 7 on Sherman-Mt. Zion Road. The driver involved was Amanda M. Woods, 28, of Dry Ridge, driving a 2011 Toyota.

Deputy Scott Conrad investigated an accident at 11:06 p.m. Feb. 9 on Crittenden-Mt. Zion Road. The driver involved was Kenneth C. Wallace, 64, of Dry Ridge, driving a 2005 Dodge.

Sgt. Dennis Switzer investigated an accident at 10:31 a.m. Feb. 10 on Dixie Highway. The drivers involved were Joe C. Vance, 80, of Corinth, driving a 2008 Ford and Rita B. Brewsaugh, 69, of Corinth, driving a 2005 Chrysler.

Deputy Brian Maines investigated an accident at 10:45 a.m. Feb. 11 on Taft Highway. The driver involved was Roman M. Harris, 18, of Williamstown, driving a 2009 Ford.

The sheriff’s office served 84 summons/subpoenas, served 50 hours in court, executed one emergency protective order, investigated two accidents involving out of county residents, executed three warrants involving out of county residents and drove 450 miles transporting pris-oners.

Kentucky State Police executed multiple warrants for Jarrett Moore, 29, of Corinth, at 5:31 p.m. Feb. 7 on First Street. Moore was turned over to the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office.

Kentucky State Police executed multiple warrants for Brett Ring, 22, of Dry Ridge, at 11:21 p.m. Feb. 10 on Matilda Street. Ring was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Kentucky State Police charged Joshua Bell, 33, of Berry, with wanton endangerment first degree and assault in the fourth degree,at 12:12 a.m. Feb. 11 on Maple Avenue. Bell was lodged at the Grant

McDonald investigated an accident at 6:45 a.m. Feb. 8 on Cordova Road. The driver involved was Malcolm Feltner, 24, of Corinth, driving a 2004 Ford.

Trooper Jeven Kedding investigated an accident at 5:32 p.m. Feb. 11 on Violet Road. The drivers involved were Nicholas Combs, 26, of Warsaw, driving a 1998 Honda and Russell Houchins, 46, of Crittenden, driving a 2007 Mitsubishi. Combs was also charged with leaving the scene of an accident, operating on a suspended operators license, no insur-ance, possession of a con-trolled substance first degree heroin and possible drug paraphernalia. Combs was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Trooper Jeven Kedding investigated an accident at 6:44 p.m. Feb. 12 on Dixie Highway. The drivers involved were Charity Mocahbee, 24, of Crittenden, driving a 2002 Chrysler and Amber Moore, 25, a pedestrian, of Dry Ridge.

Officer Ron Perkins charged Mariano Juarez, 32, of Williamstown, with no registration receipt and failure to produce insur-ance card, at 5:08 p.m. Feb. 7 on S. Main Street.

Officer Steve Cornman investigated an accident at 9:20 p.m. Feb. 6 on Kimberly Lane. The driv-ers involved were Andrew G. Reusch, 23, of Williamstown, driving a 2001 Dodge and Ann M. Griffith, 39, of Dry Ridge, driving a 2011 GMC.

Assistant Chief Chris Hankins investigated an accident at 11:50 a.m. Feb. 10 on Falmouth Street. The drivers involved were Natasha S. Wright, 28, of Falmouth, driving a 1995 Buick and Tamie Lucas, 46, of Williamstown, driv-ing a 2002 GMC.

Fire destroys Dry Ridge home

Danielle Varner wasn’t home when her mobile home caught fire on Feb. 11 and for that she’s grate-ful.

The fire, which broke out around 4:30 a.m. on Taylor Lane in Dry Ridge, engulfed Varner’s bed-room, which was reduced to blackened, charred wood.

The siding from the mobile home dripped like warm cake icing from the

frame of the trailer.Varner and her mother

spent Feb. 13 salvaging what they could of her belongings from a spare bedroom that was not dam-aged in the blaze.

“I lost my clothes,” Varner, said, staring at the home she lived in for three years. “I lost everything.”

Varner had no insurance and is staying with rela-tives.

Firefighters from three departments fought the fire for about three hours.

Capt. Greg Hearn with

the Dry Ridge Fire Department said when they arrived on scene fire and black smoke was pouring from the back of the mobile home.

The home was occupied by Varner’s cousin and his three children at the time of the fire, but they man-aged to escape the blaze with no injuries.

Hearn said firefighters were able to contain the fire to the back of the trail-er, where Varner’s bedroom and bathroom were located. He said the kitchen, which

was in the middle of the home, sustained heavy smoke damage.

Neighbors called 911 after waking up and dis-covering the fire.

Hearn estimated the damage to be $55,000.

Hearn said the fire is believed to have started in the bathroom. The cause of the fire remains undeter-mined and an investigation is continuing.

Dry Ridge was assisted by fire fighters from Cr i t t enden and Williamstown.
