Fortunately for the muscle car world, Pontiac worked around these restrictions and developed the GTO. Royal Pontiac in Michigan sold hop-up packages that turned GTOs into speed demons capable of going zero to 60 in 4.6 seconds. The Royals were icons of the drag strip, and the mysterious tiger-suited driver of the GeeTO was the most famous of all. – J. Robert OppenheimerIn May 1953, the Upshot-Knothole tests proved that the M65 Atomic Cannon could fi re a 16 kiloton yield nuclear weapon seven miles (11.3 km). It used the same warhead that Oppenheimer had helped create. The United States constructed twenty of these weapons and deployed them to Europe and Korea as deterrents against a communist invasion. Jet engine bombers are extremely thirsty aircraft, and the long distances to targets often require mid-air refueling. Luckily, the KC-135E can haul up to 200,000 lbs (90,718 kg) of fuel. The aging KC-135E refueling tanker fl eet hauls the extra gas that warplanes need to get to their targets. This model represents one of the many tankers tasked to the Air National Guard for combat support missions. This kit features an all new fuselage and wing tooling, pose-able boarding hatch with ladder and markings for two USAF planes.

The Lockheed C-130 is the ultimate heavy lifter. The USAF has used versions of the plane for transport, recon, close support, med evac and other missions since its introduction in the fi fties. The cargo capacity of the C-130 is truly legendary. During the evacuation from Vietnam, a C-130 took off with 452 passengers on board— the plane’s rated passenger capacity is 92. It is one of the last prop-driven aircraft in use by modern air forces. This kit features decals for 2 aircraft and an opening rear cargo door.

Floatplanes and seaplanes were used extensively for recon in the Pacifi c Theatre’s island-hopping campaigns. The three-seater Aichi E-13A was the most commonly produced Japanese seaplane of WWII. It was used in reconnaissance missions from Pearl Harbor all the way until the end of the war. Floats made it ideal for operating from specialized ships or isolated islands which did not have airstrips. This kit features decal markings representing two Imperial Japanese Navy aircraft.

Many people think of the Zero as Japan’s fi nest aircraft, but the Aichi B7A was more maneuverable and more heavily armed than that legendary fi ghter. The fast, sleek and powerful B7A could have seriously hampered U.S. efforts in the Pacifi c. Fortunately for the U.S. , the carriers that were designed to launch these bombers were both sunk before their aircraft could be put to use. Without their carriers, B7As were reduced to fi ghting naval battles from land bases. This kit features decals for two different aircraft.

The B-29 is the only aircraft that has ever operationally deployed a nuclear weapon. Modifi ed B-29s fl ew both atomic bombs to their targets during World War II. In all aspects, the B-29 is an impressive craft. Its wingspan is 141 ft (43 m), it can carry 20,000 lbs (9000 kg) of bombs and has a 3,000 mile (5,000 km) range. It was undoubtedly the most deadly weapons delivery system of the war. This kit features camoufl age paint markings for two early B-29 units.

Star Trek fans saw the Romulan Battle Cruiser for the fi rst time in season three’s “The Enterprise Incident,” which aired on September 27, 1968. Many eagle-eyed viewers have noticed that it looks suspiciously similar to the popular Klingon® D7 Battle Cruiser. That’s because it is the same ship, simply redressed by the special effects team with Romulan “Bird of Prey” markings! Kit features easy snap assembly, metallic plastic parts, assorted clear and chrome parts, Romulan bird decals, an optional decal set and a dome base.

The B-17G was the most advanced and most commonly produced B-17 variant. B-17Gs bristled with a total of thirteen .50 caliber machine guns, which improved their defensive capabilities, allowing them to deliver up to 8,000 lbs (3,600 kg) of bombs to their heavily defended targets. Those bombs ground down the Nazi war machine by destroying factories, supply lines and air fi elds. Without the war materials provided by the factories, the Wehrmacht was doomed. This kit features decals for two 8th Air Force aircraft from WWII.

The Mk.II model was originally introduced shortly before the outbreak of the fi rst Cylon War. Much of humanity owes its survival to the power of the Viper Mk.IIs that helped Battlestar Galactica escape destruction. It remained in service long after the end of the confl ict, although it was superseded by newer models. This assembled and painted plastic replica features authentic detailing and launch tube packaging perfect for display!

AVGPs (Armored Vehicle General Purpose) fi rst entered front-line service with Canadian Forces in 1976. The Cougar was initially designed for reconnaissance training. Many featured marine propulsion systems; over time, rising costs made these versions less common. Today, Canadian Forces have a fl eet of 100 Cougars, which are used only by reserve armored units.
