Fred Liddle, PA of Urgent Care Center of Smithfield presents Director Chris LaRoux with a do-nation of $500 to the Greenville Library to support children's programming. Children's Librarian, Babs Wells, is delighted to be able to provide some long sought after hands-on creative programs for children.
SHARE YOUR LOVE OF READINGThe Friends of the Greenville Public Library would like you to share your love of reading in February. You can pur-chase a heart for $1.00 and write your name, your favorite book and which format you prefer it to be in. The hearts will be placed around the library during the month. All pro-ceeds will go towards Children's Programs, the Museum Pass Program and books.

Members of the PICNIC TABLE READS BOOK CLUB are dis-cussing Pomegranate Soup by Marsha Mehran on Thursday,Feb-ruary 19 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. New members are welcome.
The RHODE ISLAND BLOOD COACH is here at the library on Friday, February 27 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Members of the KNITTING MAVENS meet on Tuesdays from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. New members are welcome.
Looking for TAX FORMS? The library has a limited amount of federal tax forms available. Due to budget constraints the IRS is only sending limited quantities of certain forms. Please see a librarian for assistance. State forms are only available by visiting www.tax.state.ri.us/taxforms or by calling 401-574-8970.

THE ART OF WEARING SCARVES by RITACome learn how to wear a scarf in any seasonon Saturday, February 21 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.Snow date will be Saturday, February 28 from11:00 am to 12:30 pm. AMERICAN GIRL TEA PARTY Join us on Friday, February 20th at 2:00 pm as we kick off a Friends of the Library raffle. The winner will receive, Grace Thomas, the 2015 doll of the year, and many of her lovely accessories. She has been generously donated by Ms. Nancy Crytser. The raffle will begin the day of the program. Tickets will be $2.00 each or 3 for $5.00, and will be available at the Welcome desk. The drawing will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 20. Proceeds from the raffle will benefit children's services. The tea party in the doll's honor will include a story, related craft, tea and hot chocolate. Come join the fun and meet Grace who could be your new doll! Please register in person or by calling the Children's room at 949-3630 ext. 2.
Apple Blossom Garden Club
The garden club will be offer-ing a Valentine’s Day Floral Workshop for children ages 6- 10 years. This lovely program will be on Thursday February 5th at 4:00. Please register in person or by calling the chil-dren’s room at 949-3630 x2.
Bedtime Story TimeChildren ages 3-6 are invited to join us for a special eve-ning story time at the library! Children will hear stories and songs and make a fun craft. This story time will take place on Wednesday, February 18th at 6:30 PM. Registration, which begins February 2, may be done at the children’s desk or by phone at 949-3630 ext 2.Children may wear their pajamas.
PAWS to READDoes your child need practice in reading skills? Here’s an opportunity to practice this winter with a therapy dog who LOVES to listen to stories! Children ages 6-11 may sign up for one 20 minute session per week. The next session is on Monday February 9th from 6:30 – 7:30 pm. Please regis-ter for this program in person or by calling the children’s room at 949-3630 x2.
Children’s BubbleHayden Patenaude, age eight, will be displaying his Hot Wheels collection. Hayden likes collecting cars so be sure to race in to view his Hot Wheels collection!
LEGO EventIf you are crazy about building with LEGOS this is the pro-gram for you! Children ages 5 – 11 years old are invited to come to the library on Satur-day February 7th from 2:00 – 3:00 to build with the library LEGOS. Please register for this program.
Share – A Story Book Discussion Group
The book discussion group for 4th and 5th graders and their parent /caregiver will meet on Wednesday February 11 at 4:00. This month’s book is Spirit Animals: Wild Born by Brandon Mull. Come join in the fun! Please call 949-3630 x2 for more information.
