2014-2018 Developed the most robust problem-based PA Medicine program in the state of South Carolina – from concept through first cohort matriculation. Responsibilities include the feasibility study, regional (SACSCOC) and professional accreditation (ARC-PA), graduate outcomes, curriculum development, and program policies. Additional responsibilities include managing an annual budget of over 3.0 million dollars and supervising a minimum of nine faculty and four staff members associated with the Graduate School of Health Sciences. Projects included a (1) joint venture with a major hospital network, creating a doctorate fellowship for medical providers (Doctor of Medical Science). Fellowship options are many to include all primary care, sub-specialty practices, and disaster management. (2) writing three feasibility papers on future programs to include a Master of Disaster and Emergency Management, Master of Public Health, Master of Social Work, and Master of Health Administration. Finally, (3) developing a robust service centered curriculum that includes deployments to India, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, and Haiti (ultimately for all programs created).
