!   Overall like-for-like reduction in energy consumption of -4.8% over the 2011-2012 reporting period!

!   Global GHG emissions decreased by -2.5% and water consumption decreased by -1.2%!

!   Increase in amount of data collected: coverage has increased across all sectors, in line with data coverage trend 2009-2011

!

Measuring global impact…Real estate sector leads way in reducing energy consumption!

!   Strong regional differences: change in energy consumption and GHG emissions in Europe was only marginal!

!   In North America, energy consumption reductions are the largest globally: -6.6%. GHG emissions decreased by -4.8%!

!   In Asia and Australia/NZ, like-for-like change in energy consumption amounted to -5.3% and -5.8% resp.!

European impactThe Netherlands are outperforming Europe!

!   81% of Dutch participants use automatic meter readings to monitor energy consumption for a part of their portfolio, compared to 59% of European participants !

!   62% of Dutch participants still collect data through manual-visual readings!

!   Marginal like-for-like change in energy consumption (-0.7%) and GHG emissions (-0.2%) in Europe!

!   Dutch like-for-like reduction in energy consumption is -3.0%, equivalent for 1,866 electricity used in homes for one year!

!   Dutch GHG emissions decreased by -2.3%!

! Policies from Dutch participants are more focused on CO2 emissions/management (76%, Europe 67%) and less on climate change adaptation (24%, Europe 44%)!
