GTSPP Data in ERDDAP
What is ERDDAP • stands for “the Environmental Research Division's Data Access Program”
• is a data server that gives you a simple, consistent way to download subsets of gridded and tabular scientific datasets in common file formats and make graphs and maps.
• acts as a middleman between you and various remote data servers.
• offers an easy-to-use, consistent way to request data • returns data in the common file format of your choice • has web pages (for humans with browsers) and RESTful web services (for computer programs)

How does GTSPP data get into ERDDAP
• On about the 5th of each month, ERDDP • replaces any of the files where any of the data has changed in the previous month and
• adds the three new tgz files for the previous month, so that his collection is up-to-date.
• For any month where one of the three files tgz has changed, ERDDAP
• uncompresses that month's three tgz files, • repackages the GTSPP netCDF files into just two big netCDF files, then
• adds the two big netCDF files to the collection of similar files for all of the months
