Section A runs south to north from Hilderthorpe Road into the linear park, cutting through the attenuation basin which not only provides a SUDS function, but is also a ecological feature as it will become a new habitat for insects and birds.

Section B runs south to north from Hilderthorpe Road into the linear park, the footpath sits adjacent to the retaining structure opening up views of the Gypsey Race.

Section C runs south to north from Hilderthorpe Road into the linear park. Shrubs, grass and multistem trees create seperation between the road and the park. The focus in this area is the hub space where the beacon is located. A viewing area at the top of the retained slope provides views towards the Gypsey Race.

Section D runs south to north from Hilderthorpe Road into the linear park, and is at the eastern edge of character area 1. This section shows the split paths of the woodland walk and vegetated environment surrounding the Gypsey Race.

Section F runs south to north from Hilderthorpe Road towards the development retail area, a clearly defined route provides a space for active recreation or for resting and people watching.

Section E runs south to north from Hilderthorpe Road towards the development retail area. Planting and an avenue of trees provide some seperation and screening from the road.
