Tonight is our last night of the Novena. Tomorrow, MONDAY, get up early and join us at Mañanitas y Misa — we begin at 5:00 am in Holy Cross Church. Our evening mass, at 7:00 pm in Holy Cross Church, will help us bring together the meaning of these days. Don’t miss out!

The prophet Isaiah speaks to a suffering community in today’s first reading:

The desert and the parched land will exult; the steppe will rejoice and bloom.

They will bloom with abundant flowers, Strengthen the hands that are feeble, make firm the knees that are weak,

say to those whose hearts are frightened: Be strong, fear not!

Who will carry that message to our people? As Jesse Iñiguez, a young adult businessman in our community said recently: “I always wondered why somebody didn’t do something about that, then I learned that I AM SOME-BODY.” Let’s go out and be “Juan Diego” and carry the message of the Virgin to our suffering community.

And don’t even think that the violence of our community will stop us from Posadas this year!!! We begin this Friday, December 16, at 6:00 pm on 44th and Honore. As always, look for the torches :)
