DESCRIPTION

The Halifax Index tells Halifax, Nova Scotia's story - the strength of the economy, the health of the community, the sustainability of the environment and the progress of the Economic Strategy. It’s a new and smarter way to measure progress that reaches beyond traditional economic indicators like GDP and jobs. It provides deeper insight and the most comprehensive look at what’s happening in Halifax than anything currently available, and could be used as a model for other Canadian cities. The 1st Halifax Index was presented at the Halifax State of the Economy Conference www.agreaterhalifax.com
