Elisha BrEwErKansas University Assistant Coach - Sprints /Hurdles

In her first eight years at KU, Brewer’s athletes have rewritten the record books in the indoor 60-meter hurdles, the outdoor 100-meter hur-dles, 400-meter hurdles, 110-meter hurdles, as well as the 60-meter dash, 200-meter dash and the 400-meter relay. At KU, Brewer has coached athletes to 23 First Team All-American honors. Brewers’ athletes were instrumental in the Kan-sas women’s march to the 2013 NCAA Champi-onship. Paris Daniels ran to first team All-Ameri-ca honors in the 200 meters, and also garnered

Big 12 Female Performer of the Year honors after her 23-point per-formance at the 2013 Big 12 Outdoor Championships.

GlEnn sMithIowa State University Assistant Coach-Sprints/Hurdles

Glenn Smith is currently in his first season as the sprints and hurdles coach at Iowa State University. He has coached at Central michigan, Tulane and Neosho County Community College. most recently he was employed as a Canadian National Team coach at a high performance training center in Calgary, Canada, working with Olympians, Paralympians and national team ath-letes. Smith is a former Canadian national cham-pion in the 200m and placed 13th in the 200m at the 1999 IAAF world Championships.

Distance Coach in Track One constant in the Illinois Class 3A State

Cross Country meet the past 16 years has been the Head Coach David Racey and the Naperville North Boys Cross Country team. Coach Racey’s cross country team has qualified for state every year since 1997, and has placed in the top 10 each year. In 2008 they claimed the state cham-pionship. In all, he has coached 17 different all state cross country runners. His distance coach-

ing expertise carries over to the track in the spring where he has mentored 12 different all state track athletes.

tiM ivEsDowling Catholic (IA) High School

Head Boys Cross Country CoachTim Ives began coaching boys cross country

and track at Dowling Catholic High School in 2007-08. In 2010, his cross country team fin-ished second at the state meet followed by state championships in 2011 and 2012. Individually, Ives has coached seven all-state performers in cross country. As track coach, Ives’ athletes have won multiple Drake Relays and State titles from 800m-3200m.

John DaGataUniversity of Oklahoma Director of Operations; Assistant Coach – Vertical Jumps/Combined Events

John Dagata joined the Sooners in 2013 as the Director of Opera-tions and Assistant Coach in charge of vertical jumps and combined events. Dagata is a US-ATF level II coach and a UK Athletics level 4 Coach. Dagata came to OU from University of California, Berkeley, where he served as the Di-rector of Operations and Throws Coach for two seasons. Dagata worked as the head of coach-ing for welsh Athletics from 2009-11. During that span he also served as head coach for the Great Britain world University Games Track and Field Team in 2011.

tiM cawlEyColorado State University Assistant Coach – Multi-Events/Horizontal Jumps/Pole Vault

In over a decade of coaching at Colorado State, Tim Cawley has coached athletes that have broken school records in a number of events ranging from the 60-meter dash to the heptathlon. while at CSU, Cawley has coached one USA Champion, eight NCAA All-American performances, 24 NCAA Championship qualifiers, and 19 Conference Champions. During the 2012 season he coached Janay Deloach to an Olympic Bronze medal in the long jump. Deloach was ranked as high as second in the world during the 2012 season.

JoEy wooDyUniversity of Iowa Assistant Coach – Sprints/Short Hurdles/Relays

A two-time USTFCCCA midwest Region Assistant Coach of the Year honoree, Joey woody has coached ath-letes to 10 Big Ten individual titles, two confer-ence relay titles and 29 All-American honors in his seven years at Iowa. In 2013, the Hawkeyes earned four individual conference titles and won the Big Ten championship in the 400-meter relay. woody has run competitively on the international track circuit, earning a spot on three US world teams. In 2003, he won the silver medal in the 400-meter hurdles at the world Championships and was ranked second in the world.

anthony BErtoliUniversity of Northern Iowa Assistant Coach – Jumps/Pole Vault/Multi-Events

Anthony Bertoli enters his second season at UNI. During the 2012 indoor season, Bertoli coached Daniel Gooris to his second missouri Valley Conference heptathlon title with a score of 5679; a mark that ranks second on one of UNI’s strongest all-time lists. Gooris’ went on to place 9th at the NCAA Indoor National Championships, earning second team All-American honors.
