Hamden Hall Country Day School Beckerman Athletic Center Hamden Hall Country Day School, with students in K-12, was desperate to bring their programs together into one facility, and engaged a local architect to develop a solution. e project quickly exceeded the school’s budget, and for years the project was on hold. Upon learning of Stanmar’s track record of value-driven solutions, we were invited to campus to help solve their budgetary problems – with an understanding we would not compromise quality. By moving the facility to a different site (saving the school significant costs due to poor soil) and designing the facility as a one story building, Hamden Hall was able to proceed with construction without compromising any program space. Today, the facility serves as more than just an athletic facility, becoming the social hangout for Hamden Hall’s students. - Competition Gymnasium with two synthetic courts - Natatorium with six-lane, 25 yard lap pool, two 1 meter boards and seating for 250 - Multipurpose aerobics room - Fitness center - Student lounge & computer lab - Sports medicine suite - Concession stand - Lobby with control desk - Donor wall with trophy case - Athletic staff offices and conference rooms - Boys and girls locker rooms Features: LOCATION Hamden, CT STUDENTS 560 TOTAL SQUARE FOOTAGE 62,700 OCCUPANCY December 2009 TOTAL COST $11.4 Million ARCHITECT & BUILDER Stanmar Inc.
