How to use the Guide.We have separated our guide into 2 sections: Food and Material. Each company featured in the book has the most attractive aspect on the top left, so you know what to expect.

Each entry is judged on:

Quality - The quality of the food/material. Price - How cheap are the things on offer? A time (eg. 1h) shows the ability to time-swap. You work for the set time and can take the re-maining produce of the day. Service - The service/knowledge offered by the people working in the store. Useful if you need to buy something but have no idea how to work with it.

5 is high (good) 1 is low (bad)

Genneper Hoeve is a beautifull farm in the middle of the city that sells the products of the Foundation

Eigen Erf. On top of that they make their own cheese, they get the milk from their own cows and sell

biological meat. Plus it’s great to visit the park and farm.

Biological food directly from the farmer out of this region, out of the belief that food should be tasty,

healthy and sustainable.

The biological market is a small market that offers everything for a consumer that wants to eat bio-locialy. Bread, meat, eggs, fruit, veg and cheese.

The butcher at the Groene Weg sets high standards for the meat it sells, this way he will always make sure you get safe, great quality biological meat. He is not

Nature is a supermarket. When you know what you can eat, and how to eat it you start seeing it in a differ-ent ways. Stingy Nettles are found everywhere, all year

round and make a great addition to your meal, after cooking for 2minutes the sting is gone and they are

safe to eat. Wear gloves when collecting

Chestnuts can also be found in many places, make sure you only eat the ones pictured, the ones with less,

thicker spikes aren’t edible.After checking for defects and taking out of the shell you cut an x on one side with a sharp knife and bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes, peel of the brown shell

and enjoy.

Pears are attractive to birds, flies etc. Check them well before eating, if it looks fine but you want to make

sure then you can always cook them in a pie or slice them, fry them with cinnamon and sugar and enjoy

with blue cheese and honey on bread.

Behind the Effenaar I found a wild pear tree grow-ing, I spotted it too late in the season and most of the pears had already been enjoyed by birds, but

there is always next year

The most abundant source of Vitamin C-rich rose hips is from wild hedgerows and thickets. Here hips can be gathered in ample quantities for cooking and storing. You’d have to grow a vast number of garden-variety roses to get a sufficient quantity of hips for use all

year long. As most roses have thorns, gloves are help-ful although not essential when gathering hips.

Rosehips are quite common and contain high levels of vitamin C, the pips are hairy and should not be

eaten. You can dry them and use them as tea, make jam or medicinal tinctures for the cold winter.

Monday and Tuesday Jan is the to help. He is very good in molding and brings a good atmosphere.

Thursday and Friday Rino helps. He helps with mold-ing, casting and welding. The people here are a big

source of knowledge.

A metal workshop where students and designers meet each other. You can make molds and cast all

This kringloop is a nice second hand shop. It is not very big, so you can oversee all the things they have quickly. They have a lot of furniture and clothing. Al-ways good to take a short look if you come by. They

also have some free stuff standing outside.
