Food Needed: All types of kosher canned or nonperishable, sealed

or packaged food are acceptable for collection. Non-kosher food will

not be accepted for this food drive. All food donated must have one

of the following Hashgachot: O-U, O-K, Chof-K, Star-K.

Most Needed Foods: Shelf-stable, Kosher

HIR Community Choir The H.I.R. Community Choir starts its 15th season with rehearsals

New monthly support groups for Infertility and Pregnancy Loss, for

WOMEN ONLY, will be starting in August. Both groups are open to

the entire community. All groups will meet at the Riverdale Jewish

The Infertility group meets in the RJC board room on the 2nd

Monday of each month from 7- 9pm.

The Pregnancy Loss group (co-sponsored by NechamaComfort)

meets in the RJC board room on the 3rd Monday of every month,

“Coping with Conception” meets the first Wednesday of each month at the

SEFARIM GEMACH: Newly formed sefarim gemach based in Utopia Parkway Jewish Center is seeking out unused sefarim that

people would like to see put to good use. Sefarim will be sold at a discount of at least 75% off retail price and all proceeds will go

to Tomchei Shabbos of Queens. We will come to you to take the sefarim that we believe will sell. We do not take anything for

Geniza. Examples of the kinds of sefarim that people find useful are the English Hebrew translations of Tanach, Artscroll,

Gemarot, full sets of all Hebrew books, sets of Shulchan Aruch, Shas, Halachah, books on commentaries, famous personalities,
